It’s excellent.

I was surprised by the toned down production compared to the versions of the songs I'm used to. Still wonderful sound.

Another day, another Bob Marley album. No woman no cry is one of his better hit singles, still don’t really care about reggae though.

Rated 10/10

Deep deep bass grooves from Aston Barrett, funky-ass clavinet & organ, amazing backing vocals from the I-threes and ga couple of all time great songs. The production/recording are great, just tons of space and loads of room for all the instruments to shine, but also work perfectly as a platform for the lead vocals. It's not his best album as he's missing Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh, but it's still pretty close to the zenith of Reggae, though not yet at the mega crossover pop sensation he'd soon become.

I was actually a little surprised to see this album pop up today. I had Exodus a few weeks ago and that seems like it would pretty much cover the necessary Bob Marley. This is a decent album but surely there's nothing on this record that Exodus doesn't do better. This is maybe a deeper dig and I feel like there could have been something else added to this list in its place.
The record is fine, nothing spectacular. If you like Bob Marley, you'll like it. If you're not a reggae fan, this won't change your mind. 3/5

It’s been a long time since I’ve given Bob Marley a chance. I’ve only ever really gotten into one or two of his hits. I think that’s a shame, because I really enjoyed this all the way through. I know it’s not a hot take to say that, but there you go.

Reggae is a genre I haven't gotten too deep into. All around this album was ok. Good vibes but not much else. 3/5.

Rated 6/10

Lots of nice reggae that is enjoyable, however I'm not a massive fan of reggae and the album does feel a little long and a little boring.

Rated 8/10

Wow what a great vibe to start a summer day! Instant good mood, but admittedly there’s some Righteous anger mixed in. The contrast of lyrics and music is intriguing. Easier to rally the masses with honey than vinegar I suppose!
Weak last song unfortunately. Felt like a great gymnastics routine that then didn’t stick the landing.

A reggae masterpiece

This was good, but they have better albums.

3.0/5.0: Good

Great album

I thought "No woman, no cry" meant not to cry if you didn't have a woman but for the first time in my life I realized it's about telling a woman not to cry. I never actually listened to the lyrics until this. The wiki page for the song let's me know other people think the same thing, but I kind of like it better this way. This album as a whole isn't my favorite. Maybe it's too polished sounding? Too electronic or something? Not sure. The instrumentation isn't my cup of tea either. I kind of hate the harmonica. Not sure why. I actually fell asleep to some of this because it is pretty repetitive and not very upbeat but that kind of goes to show this is some chill music. It just didn't wow me across the board. Bob's great and I would love to learn more about his story, but most of this I wouldn't revisit.

I like Bob Marley's reggae. Listening the album I missed the bass a little. May be a problem of my headphones.

Rated 4/10

I steeled myself for an unenjoyable listening experience here, but the first track wasn't too bad. Even the version of No Woman No Cry was bearable, at the faster tempo than the live one. But it got really samey pretty fast. I can only take two or three songs worth of this.

Rated 8/10

Some great stuff. No woman no cry is an all time classic.

Rated 4/10

Har sgu lidt svært ved at vurdere sådan noget musik her..
Pladen er fin nok og no woman, no cry er måske det nummer jeg først tænker på, hvis nogen siger reggae.
Men generelt siger det mig sgu ikke noget..

Rated 4/10

This wasn't bad, but reggae is not really my thing apparently. 2/5

Rated 4/10

This is a well made enough record and I'm sure a fine example of the genre. It's just... reggae is so boring.
