passing me by is classic
and some really interesting lyrics throughout

Rated 6/10

Nothing particularly appealing in this.

This was a lot of fun. It's always a good sign if I'm surprised that an hour-long album has finished, instead of checking Spotify to see how long is left to go.

Rated 10/10

At first i really wanted to just rate this a 3 and say it's just a worse Tribe with a Beastie Boys flow. Then I read about the group, the album, and just what they represent for people. And by the end of the first listen, I thought, yeah it's worth a solid 4. Then today I listened to the whole thing with some pretty good headphones, and now it all came together.
This is a banger of an album, with very memorable beats, and just a fuuun time with a funny group flooding the crisp beats with some clever rhymes. Glad this was on the list.
Low 5.

Lyrically hasnt aged well but it is a cornerstone of early 90s hip hop. Irreverent and corny with amazing beats

Rated 4/10

I was very excited to see the cover of this album because I love roller coasters! This would be an interesting album to listen to while riding a roller coaster, but other than that, it's not good. I never got into it. Not the type of hip hop I like.

Rated 8/10

Lighthearted gangsta rap indeed. Sophomoric but super fun and surprisingly musically rich.

Rated 8/10

fortíssimo!!

tirando as letras criminosas as vezes, é um ABSURDO. é um disco não se leva nem um pouco a sério, mas acho que deveria. só beatzão pesado e flow cabuloso, bom demais esse, hein. além dessa capa mto foda.

Rated 6/10

Good and fun but not anything special

Rated 8/10

Just a damn good time. Jazzy instrumentals with lyrics that don’t take themselves seriously. Favorites were Oh Shit, I’m That Type of N****, Soul Flower, Passin’ Me By, and Return Of The B-Boy

Rated 8/10

The list has throw up a gem I've never heard before. Really enjoyed that. Ya Mama and Quinton's On The Way genuinely made me laugh. Pretty innovative and I prefer rap that doesn't take itself seriously. 4/5.

Rated 2/10

It's a style of hip hop, vocal delivery and overall attitude that does precious little for me. I tried; really, I did, but I couldn't make it all the way through. Genuinely think I'd rather listen to any of the country albums I've had so far. Some of the beats were half decent at least, even if a bit unvaried, and I recognise this is most likely a "me" issue with the genre as a whole just not resonating with me.

Rated 4/10

Not really a fan of this one. In terms of rap/hip hop, it's better than most, but nothing really worth returning to. 2/5

Rated 6/10

Not something I enjoy the most, and they kept saying the N word.

Low 3/5

Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde is a pretty fun album. For some reason, when i first looked at this album art, I thought that this was going to be a psychedelic rock album from the 60s. That was until i noticed the parental advisory, explicit content sticker on the art which made me realize that this is a hip hop album from the 90s. The album itself is a great listen. This is another one of those hip hop albums where while the rapping and lyrics are solid, it's the production and beats that really steal the show. The beats all had this incredibly jazzy feel which i really enjoyed. I had quite a bit of fun with this album and it is one i can definitely recommend to others.
Best Song: Return Of The B-Boy
Worst Song: Quinton's On The Way (Skit)

Rated 6/10

Pretty fun album, the goofyness is both a blessing and a curse. The beats flow really well here, but I wasn't really that impressed with the overall thing. It's fun and it sounds good but it probably needs a few more listens for me to appreciate it.

Rated 8/10

Beats and production is on point. The overall impression is that it's an album that really wasn't taken seriously by the creators. There's so much talent visible, but the overall product only shines in moments.

Rated 8/10

This album is fun as hell. It's super goofy - there's a 4min track of yo mama jokes; at one point they smoke a blunt with a 4yo kid - but the beats are good and they're all rapping their ass off. Just don't mind the dated lyrics here and there.

Rated 4/10

De La Soul made this album three years earlier and it was way better.
