This was really good. Several listens and still enjoying it. Great effort by Mr Young and the Mr Horse.

I suspect if you are a fan of this type of music then this is a really good album. Unfortunately I’m not really a fan so just find it a bit dull.
Really quite enjoyed this one. Nice to have something a bit different and something I probably wouldn’t have seemed out outside of this list. Some interesting songs in here and the variety helped keep the attention.

Has a few nice moments but was just getting bored by the end as the second half was a lot less interesting and varied than than the first. Not that the first half was particularly interesting or varied itself!

I’ve always preferred later Beatles to early Beatles and this album feels like the start of the change from one to the other. More experimentation with instruments and sounds and more polished lyrics and song ideas. Tomorrow Never Knows for example, what a great song and probably ahead of its time. A couple of the ‘typical’ Beatles songs but overall a very good record with lots of great songs.
I’ve rather backed myself into a corner though by rating previous Beatles offerings with 5 stars. This the best one so far so will have to be a 5 as well. Perhaps I can downgrade the previous ratings. Can we start this project again?

I’m conflicted. I can’t decide if I liked this or not. I think I did but then again I’m not sure.

No wonder the rest of the world hates us when we keep giving them shit like this to listen to!

I’m not sure this has aged particularly well.

Not ideal work accompaniment music but managed to avoid getting too hot under the collar.

This album felt like it didn’t really know what it was trying to be. Ultimately just felt a bit disjointed and slightly messy.

If this is one of the best 1001 albums ever made then there must have only been 1001 albums ever made.

Lovely bit of space rock.

Hmmm. Clearly she is good at what she does and has found a market for her formulaic, and often rather bland, pop songs. Not my cup of tea but I get that she’s popular to a lot of people who see something in this.

I’d forgotten just how good this album is. It was great that Supergrass moved on from their successful first album and made something different but as good if not better. Many bands of the time followed one success with the same again. You can hear the growth they have made this album. But at the same time unmistakably Supergrass. Another 5 star effort from the lads.

I enjoyed quite a lot of this one. Some good tunes though some repetitiveness and probably a few I’d skip if I ever listened to it again.

Not too bad as far as 80’s pop goes.
A game of two halves.
A slow start saw Dylan bogged down by excessive harmonica that left the listener feeling, at times, like they were wading through treacle.
After a half-time dressing down an electrified Dylan re-emerged for the second half and finally delivered on his promising potential.

Our first Queen album in this list and I have to say that was a very enjoyable listen. A lot of different styles and sounds on this album and yet all unmistakably Queen!

I had been anticipating this to be one of those where the hits far outweigh the rest. Obviously Suspicious Minds is a banger but I was pleasantly surprised how much more of this I actually enjoyed.
Ok, bit of a dip in the middle and a bit too country in places but overall not a bad effort. This Elvis fella may have a future in music you know.

Found myself chooglin’ along to this one.
