Rostam really should've stuck with Vampire Weekend. Nothing he's done since has come remotely close to his work with them, and same on their end. This album is perfectly fine but just doesn't really hit me at all.

The best in the game at mashups. I remember finding this on CD back when it came out and buying it not knowing what I was even getting myself into. So many nostalgic bangers mixed in here!

Love the mix of punk and pop. It's super catchy and upbeat.
Quite a few different sounds mixed together here. It mostly works, although it definitely feels like an album of its time. It's kinda cheesy and I'm not super into the vocals but the instrumentals are generally pretty fun.

Amazing album. Nearly every song could be a single. This is how you do a pop album.

Orchestral pop isn't really my thing but this is definitely interesting. The amount of languages is really technically impressive. I still think anything this recent shouldn't even be considered though.

Depeche Mode are so freaking good. I love the darker and more rock-oriented direction of this album. The title does a great job of conveying the themes of faith but in a more ominous manner.

I'll fully admit this is objectively not great in a lot of ways, but damn if I don't get an insane amount of nostalgia while listening to it. These boys were EVERYWHERE when I was a kid and it really brings me back.

This album was an EVENT when it came out. I still remember it vividly. It 100% holds up too. Such an expansive and epic sound while still staying true to Daft Punk's roots.
Godspeed are in my eyes the greatest post-rock band ever with zero debate. This album is absolutely massive and emotional and beautiful.

Damn this is awesome. I've heard the names before but never given them a shot and now I'm kicking myself. Alt country is so good, I'm glad I've finally figured out that not all country is garbage about trucks and beer.

I've listened to some of his stuff with his backing band but I like this stripped back version a lot more. It really allows his lyricism and guitar playing to take the forefront. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this.

Intense, thoughtful, and deep. This album perfectly blends nu metal with political commentary.

I never really understood what all the fuss was about with Mac Miller. Maybe I'm just too old for it? It's chill and enjoyable but people seem to REALLY like it which I just don't get.
Fantastic album. I think mixing in some indie rock flavor really elevates the folk aspects and gives the album a lot more variety than most folk albums have. Lenker's voice is really unique and powerful too.

Too 80s for me.It's got that cheese that hasn't aged well at all.

Someone definitely put this on here out of Canadian pride rather than any particular merit I think. It's enjoyable and catchy and I did enjoy listening to it but it sounds like 1000 other albums. It's also way too long for what it is.

The singer sounds distractingly like a knockoff Thom Yorke which is hurting it for me because it's tough to be compared to Radiohead. Other than that I thought it was decent. Good production.
Rated 8/10
I'm a casual reggae enjoyer so I won't pretend to have a full grasp of this album's context in the wider history of the genre, but it was really enjoyable to listen to. Super catchy and upbeat yet still laid back and chill.
Rated 2/10
That certainly was an album that I listened to. About all I can say. So boring and generic.
