I'm aware of this album as it's usually ranked as one of Bowie's greatest, but I've never sat down to listen to it start-to-finish.

So, uh, ... meh? I don't know. It's not bad, but I'm not sure I understand why this album is so beloved.

I've heard of Willie Colon, but never sat down to listen to his music. I suspect I'll enjoy this.

This is great. It makes me feel like I'm getting things _done_. I'll add this to my list of albums to listen to again.

There are a few tracks from this that are immediately recognizable by title. And I don't really like R.E.M. in general, and don't enjoy the tracks I recognize either. So I don't really have high hopes for sitting down to listen to this start-to-finish.

I don't like Michael Stipe as a vocalist, and the music just generally is uninteresting. No thanks.

I recognize a few of these songs by title, but haven't ever listened to this album start-to-finish.

This was alright, but a bunch of the songs really blur together.

The name Gene Clark isn't ringing a bell for me, though I do recognize some coversongs by title here, and I'm kind of looking forward to those.

This is alright. I enjoyed the covers, and the other songs are just okay. No complaints, but not much to write home about either.

I'm not too familiar with this artist, and this is my first time listening to an album of theirs. I recognize the coversongs by name, though. But otherwise, I don't have any expectations for this.

I don't know, this is a little too "House Band in a coffee shop in a David Lynch movie" for me. It's not terrible, but if you asked me why this album is on this list, I guess I could say "I Don't Get It"

I'm familiar with the hits from this album, but I've never sat down to listen to it start-to-finish.

This by no means bad, but there aren't hidden gems. The hits are great, the other songs are okay. That being said, I think I'll add this album to my library based on the strength of the hits.

I'm all for Ella Fitzgerald being on this list, but it's "1001 ALBUMS," not "1000 Albums and a Box Set...". I'll listen to a bit of this today, and then maybe more of it over the next few days. This is just a lot to try to consume in one sitting.

I'll give this a 3 out of respect for Ella, but you can't expect a more thorough listen or review on a collection of over 3 hours of material.

I've heard of this artist, though I don't know that I'm familiar with them at all. So, I'm mostly going into this album blind.

The track "Remind Me" is vaguely familiar, apparently it's been used in a few different advertisements, so that's probably it.

It's not bad, but I just don't find it compelling. I've got a good ear, but I just don't get what makes this special enough that I must listen to it before I die. Why this album over other ones? A lot of the tracks blur together, too. It frequently feels like background music -- like something to be played in a waiting room or as hold music.

I'm vaguely aware of the artist, but I don't think I recognize any of these tracks by name. I feel like what little I have heard from this group I don't like, but as I mentioned, it's vague.

Yeah, my instinct was correct: I don't like this. In addition, it all kind of blurs together.

I'm quite familiar with this album. Surprisingly, it wasn't in my library. I've remedied that so that I can listen to it start to finish for today.

It's just great.

I'm familiar enough with the hits from this, and am looking forward to listening to the entire album.

This is quite good.

Ugh. I don't like Steely Dan. And I recognize a few of the songs on this by title, and already know them to be insidious earworms. I'm not looking forward to this.

It's always so frustrating knowing that Steely Dan are notorious for using studio musicians because they felt that the band members weren't good enough to render their parts... meanwhile Donald Fagen is just a _terrible_ singer. The best part of this album is that it's pretty short.

I've only ever listened to one other Bjork album. I don't think I recognize any of these songs by title.

Once again, I don't really like this, but I don't hate it either. I _do_ respect it though.

I'm really only familiar with this group's "White Winter Hymnal" so this is a first-time run-through of this album and this artist for me. I feel like I have some idea of what to expect.

It's alright, I don't hate it, but it's also just not something I'll be coming back to either. At the time this came out, it was probably more new and fresh, and then people came after them to beat this horse to death, and now it just feels blah.

I'm familiar with Guided by Voices in name only, so this is my first time listening to an album by them.

It's got a bit of a "lo-fi/garage-y Beatles" feel to it. But I don't really enjoy this that much. For some of these songs, it's nice that they're short. Other songs feel like they could benefit from some more development.

As this is going on, I'm finding myself more annoyed by this album. It sounds and feels too much like it's a demo, instead of an actual album. Please, gentlemen, tune up your guitars, at least. And then, make sure you get a better vocal take the next time around.

I don't think I've ever listened to a Massive Attack album start-to-finish before.

Trip hop isn't really my thing, but this isn't bad. I didn't hate it, but I don't feel compelled to listen to this again.
