I don't think I recognize this artist, album, or any of the tracks by title. Seeing that it's categorized as House music, gives me the suspicion that I probably won't enjoy this.

As anticipated, this is boring and repetitive House music. It's just not my thing. Maybe, in small doses, I might enjoy this more. But sitting down to listen to this entire album start-to-finish was not fun.

I don't think I recognize this artist, album, or any of these tracks by title. So, let's hope for a pleasant surprise here.

I suppose I just don't understand why this album is on this list. It's not awful, but I also feel like it could certainly be improved. It's mostly just meh.

I don't think I recognize any of these tracks by title, but I do usually enjoy Emmylou, so I'm looking forward to listening to this for the first time.

This was good and I'm glad I listened to it, but I'm also not sure it's Emmylou's best.

PhrenologyThe Roots

Rated 10/10

I've got this album in my library, and thanks for reminding me to listen to it again.

This is really solid. I don't listen to this album enough.

DoolittlePixies

Rated 10/10

I think I recognize a few of these tracks by title, but otherwise I haven't listened to this album start-to-finish.

I quite enjoyed this. It's just classic and again laid the groundwork for a lot of music that followed.

I think I've listened to this album before, but I'm not 100% certain.

I don't hate this, but I have also always wondered why people love this so much. To me, it kind of feels like "What if Raffi made music for adults?" It's pleasant enough, and there's certainly a bit of comforting nostalgia around it all. But I feel like it's also too soft.

I recognize a bunch of these tracks by title, but I've never listened to this album start-to-finish otherwise.

This is fine. Unfortunately, I was trying to resolve another frustrating situation while listening to this so I probably wasn't paying close enough attention to it. But it was neither bad nor good.

I'm familiar with a bunch of these tracks, though I've never listened to this album start-to-finish. I genuinely loathe Lars Ulrich, but I like the other guys. Expect my review to reflect that fact.

This is too big and overblown for its own good. Also, symphony orchestras all-too-frequently just don't understand how to play with enough looseness for anything that's not symphony stuff, and that's on display here. This is sort of a case of "not a terrible idea" with "poor execution" and also "less would have been more." And then on top of it all: Fuck Lars.

Moving PicturesRush

Rated 8/10

I like prog rock, but I don't really like Rush. There are maybe 10 total Rush songs I like, and the rest I don't really care for. (My complaint about Rush is mostly Geddy Lee's vocals.) I've got this album in my library because it's one of their albums that has a few of those "Rush songs I like" on it. If this album were only "Tom Sawyer," "YYZ," and "Limelight," I'd rate it a 5/5. Alas it has those other tracks which just don't do it for me, so this score is an attempt at representing that disconnect.

I've got this album in my library, and I probably don't listen to it enough. This isn't a perfect album, but it's darn good. The quality trails off a bit in the middle, but at least it closes out more strongly with "Havona."

Rated 10/10

I don't think I recognize any of these tracks by title, but it's entirely possible that I do, in fact, know some of these. Otherwise, I've never listened to this album start-to-finish before.

Similar to my review for Yes' "Fragile" album, I was expecting this to be more tedious. But I enjoyed it more than I anticipated. Maybe my instincts about Yes have been incorrect all along?

I'm a big fan of Thelonious but I'm not aware of this album in particular. I recognize all of these tracks by title, however, the way my brain works, I don't think I'd be able to hum the tune of any of them without a little help. I'm definitely anticipating loving this album, and will likely add this to my list of albums to listen to again.

Yup, I'm loving this. Thank you, 1001 Albums Generator, for helping me add another Monk album to my library.

I'm not sure I recognize any of these songs by title, but I bet there are at least a few that I do actually know. Otherwise, I've never listened to this album start-to-finish.

Actually, I think my initial assessment was correct: I don't recognize any of these songs. And having listened to this album, I think I know why: none of these songs are particularly interesting.

HejiraJoni Mitchell

Rated 8/10

I recognize a few of these tracks by title, but otherwise have never listened to this album start-to-finish. I'm also a big fan of Jaco Pastorius, so I'm at least looking forward to that portion of this album.

I'm not normally a fan of Joni Mitchell, but I enjoyed this collection of songs more than I usually do. I think I'll add this to my list of albums to listen to again.

I recognize a few of the tracks on this by name, though I was surprised to see "Comfortably Numb" on here. What I know of this artist I don't particularly enjoy, so I'm not holding out much hope. Otherwise, I've never listened to this album start-to-finish.

I wasn't really feeling this and was prepared to give it a 2 or 3. But the "Comfortably Numb" cover makes this a 1. This is bad and I don't have to act like it's okay.

SkylarkingXTC

Rated 6/10

I've only listened to one other XTC album because of this site. That one didn't really grab me, and otherwise, I don't think I recognize any of these tracks by title, so I'm mostly going into this blind.

In my review for "Apple Venus Volume 1," I noted that it sounds like these guys do a lot of drugs, but not the kind that lead to making great music. I feel like this album reinforces that hypothesis. And again, the vocals are frequently sounding like the key is too high for the singer's range. This isn't bad, but I feel like I thoroughly don't get XTC's appeal.

I recognize a bunch of these tracks by title, but I've never listened to this album start-to-finish.

This is pretty solid, there are a few tracks which felt a little more dull than the others, so it's not quite "great." I'm glad this site made me sit down to listen to it.

I'm pretty sure I've heard this album before. I listen to a lot of post-rock, but somehow Sigur Ros just doesn't do it for me. I like my post-rock to be more rockin' and this is all pretty sleepy.
