It's not terrible, but I'm not a big expert on this kind of music. It is quite nice at times, and it definitely sounds ok for a soundtrack or as some backgroun music. However, I'm not very excited.

For instance, I like the sound of "Gritty Shaker"..The problem is that the song lasts almost 7 minutes while being very repetitive. So, I guess this is ok for a dance session. However, it works less when trying to listen to the whole album in its entirety.

In any case, some songs I found pretty interesting: "Let's Get Killed", "My Mate Paul" (probably my favourite; although, again, too long for my taste), or "Slashers Revenge".

It's between 2 and 3 stars for me. In order to decide, I wanted to listen what he had to do with the James Bond theme (in "Radio 7"), and with the Serge Gaingsbourg's themes (in "Don't Die Just Yet"). Radio 7 is ok after about 4 min, but I was expecting something more. As for "Don't Die Just Yet", it's ok but, again, not terribly interesting.

So, overall, it is pretty average. Two stars for me.

Very good. It is aggressive, angry, energeric, noisy, direct...

I enjoyed several songs: "Rise Above", "Spray Paint" (this is great), "Six Pack", "Police Story", "Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie", "Depression", "Room,13", or "Damaged II" (probably my favourite).

I think this is between 4 and 5 stars. Probably up to 5 stars if taking into account its influence. In any case, at least for now, I'm awarding this 4 stars (may need to revisit though).

Very good album. I actually own this album and I've seen him live. So, even if hip-hop is not my favourite genre, I've always felt kendrick is pretty good.

This album is really varied. It has very nice influences of funk, jazz, and even rock. Besides, except for some early songs, I find the lyrics and the overall theme is very interesting.

Some songs I enjoyed: "King Kunta", "Institutionalized", "i", "u" (probably my favourite), "Alright", "Hood Politics", "The Blacker the Berry", or "How Much For a Dollar".

I think this is between 4 and 5 stars. It would be 5 stars if it were a bit shorter. However, I think 4 stars is a fair score.

Very good album (though I prefer "School's Out"). I enjoy some of the main singles, e.g., "Elected", "Billion Dollar Babies", or "No More, Mr. Nice Guy". I also think "Generation Landslide" or "Sick Things" are pretty good.

However, I think my favourite track is the weird and macabre "I Love The Dead".

This is between 4 and 5 stars for me. Overall, I enjoyed this a bit less than "School's Out" (which I awarded 5 stars), so I think I'm giving this one 4 stars.

First impression:...I really like the "Introduction".

Very good album, with very good arrangements.

Some songs I particularly enjoyed: "At The Chime Of A City Rock", "One Of These Things First" (very nice guitar and piano), "Fly" (probably my favourite), the jazzy "Poor Boy", or "Northern Sky".

Overall, this is a solid 4 star album for me. Actually, I understand Nick Drake felt this album was too "full". I tend to agree and I feel that the album would be even better if the songs were more stripped down.

Good punk-rock, power-pop album. I can imagine that they must be really fun in concert. It is also worth noting that this album is from 1979, and it must have definitely sounded more interesting when it was first released.

Overall, I found the album pretty enjoyable. Some songs I liked: "I Gotta Getta", "Jump Boys", "Jimmy, Jimmy", "True Confessions", "Listening In", or "Teenage Kicks" (clearly my favourite, even if not in the original release).

Overall, it is in the 3,5 range for me. But, becasuse they're from Derry, I think they deserve 4 stars ;-)

I love Tori Amos. In my opinion, all her albums from the 90s are great. This debut album is no exception and, though it's not my favourite album of hers (that would be "Boys for Pele" or "From the Choirgirl Hotel"), it is still worth 5 stars.

Her voice, her phrasing, the lyrics, her piano playing, the string arrangements... Everything in this album works perfectly for me.

I like each and every song. In particular, I enjoy: "Crucify", "Girl", "Silent All These Years", "Precious Things", "Winter", "Happy Phantom", "China", "Leather", "Mother", "Tear In Your Hand", "Me And A Gun", or "Little Earthquakes". So, I guess that means I like them all.

This is a good album but I must admit I was a bit disappointed. I'm not a fan of hip-hop but I thought I would like this more than I did.

I liked the lyrics, and also some of the tracks: "How Many Mics", "Zealots" or "Family Business"
However, I'm not a,big fan of "Ready or Not" (which I think is ok), or "Killing Me Softly". And I was not very excited with the cover of "No Woman, No Cry". So, overall, it is in the range of 3,5 stars for me. However, I think this is generally a bit overrated, so I'm going with 3 stars.

Very good album. I was obviously familiar with the name of the band, but I had never listened to any of their songs.

I found this album very good. Energetic songs, with very interesting lyrics. British youth at its max. Loved it.

Some songs I especially enjoyed: "The View From The Afternoon" (great lyrics), "I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor", "Fake Tales Of San Francisco" (what a tree song set to start a career...), "Riot Van" (again, great lyrics and nice change of tone), "When The Sun Goes Down" (probably my favourite), or "A Certain Romance".

I will definitely listen to this again.

Overall, 5 stars and one of the best findings for me personally so far (after about 250 albums).

It is pretty good and interesting. It contains some reggae and hip-hop influences, which are not among my favourite genres. However, I found this quite enjoyable.

Some songs I particularly enjoyed: "Ultra Stimulation" (fun track), "Sunday Shining" (probably my favourite), "Supreme / Preme", or "I Need a Lover".

Overall, this is a solid 3 star album for me (3,5 actually).

"Take On Me" was a hit, and I think it is indeed a good song. However, I'm not a big fan of this genre, and I find the rest of the album not that good. Starting the album with such a big hit is not the best idea (unless you are Dylan, and can contine with almost equally good tracks).

Overall, it is good, but I don't find it very interesting. So, 3 stars.

Apart from "Take On Me", I also enjoyed: "Train of Thought" (the first section of the song reminds me a bit of Bowie...and that's always a positive), "Hunting High And Low", "The Sun Always Shines On TV", or "Here I Stand And Face The Rain".

This is a very good album. It contains four great songs in a row: "In My Place", "God Put a Smile Upon Your Face', "The Scientist" (my favourite track in the album), and "Clocks".

Although they have a pretty distinctive sound, they manage to include some variety and don't sound repetitive. For instance, I also enjoyed "Warning Sign" or "The Whisper".

Overall, this is in the 4,5 star range for me.

Great album. It contains at least four classics I really like: "Good Times Bad Times", "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You", "Dazed And Confused" (probably my favourite) and "Communication Breakdown". And, on top of that, a couple of further songs I really enjoy: the instrumental "Black Mountain Side" or "How Many More Times".

The songs I enjoyed the less (although they are still very good) are the Blues numbers by Willie Dixon.

This is between 4 and 5 stars for me. I think it would be 5 stars if not for the blues covers (which I guess are probably very much appreciated by blues fans). Overall, a very solid 4 star album for me.

Wow, this took me by surprise (I've listened to more than 200 albums as part of this project, and I'd say this is among my top-5 positive surprises). I had never heard of Bonnie "Prince" Billy (though I must have listenened to the cover of "I See a Darkness" by Johnny Cash). I was also surprised to find about the (excellent) cover by Rosalia.

Now, about the album. I found this very good. Not very impressed with the first track and I thought it would be kind of boring. But...I was wrong. Actually, it kept growing and getting better and better.

I enjoyed many of the tracks here: "Nomadic Revery", "I See a Darkness", "Another Day Full of Dread", "Death to Everyone", "Madeleine-Mary", "Song For The New Breed", "Today I Was an Evil One", or "Black". Surprisingly varied and really enjoyable.

It is between 4 and 5 stars for me (4 stars for now, but likely to grow on me). It is also worth noting that this album is not for a casual listen. This requires a certain mood (not necessarily sad or depressed by the way, but somehow introspective).

Very good album. I'm not a big fan of the drum programming, though. Interestingly, the song I enjoyed the less is the one with Stevie Wonder ("Just Good Friends"). Some of the songs I enjoyed the most: "Bad", "The Way You Make Me Feel", "Man In The Mirror" (together with "Smooth Criminal", my favourite track), "Dirty Diana", or "Leave Me Alone". It's between 4 and 5 stars for me, although I think that 4 stars may be ok (especially since there are 3 or 4 songs that I find not very inspired).

Excellent album. I like hard rock, and this is a very good hard rock album.

It includes great songs. Some of my favourites: "Jailbreak", "Emerald", "Dancing in the Moonlight", "Still in Love With You", "Cowboy Song", or "The Boys are Back in Town".

While listening, I was readu to rate this as 5 stars. However, I will keep it at 4 stars for two main reasons: 1) not a big fan of side 4, and 2) I was really looking forward to "Whiskey in the Jar", so it was a bit fristrating that this was not included.

But, in any case, a very good album and very solid 4 stars.

Good album. However, this suffers from the overexposure of british post-punk bands in this project.

In any case, this album is in the range of 3,5 stars for me.

Most songs have a second half change that is really interesting.

Some songs I enjoyed: "The Cutter" (probably my favourite; I like the epic second half), "Back Of Love", "Porcupine", "Heads Will Roll" (nice bass line, as in most tracks), "Higher Hell", or "In Bluer Skies". I also think that "Never Stop" (only in the extended version) is pretty good.

So, overall, a very solid 3 star album with upward potential.

This really took me by surprise. 14 songs in 15 minutes. I loved it. It's addictive. Really good. They actually manage to squeeze quite varied themes and sounds. At least 4 stars. Actually, let's make it 5.

Very good album.

I'm not a jazz expert but I'm a bit familiar with Miles Davis (especially, with his album "Kind of Blue").

I found this album very good, especially the second piece ("In A Silent Way"). Overall, a solid 4 star album for me.
