Aside from My My, Hey Hey, and Hey Hey, My My this is a pretty forgettable album.

I love bass but the extended bass solos on here got to be a bit much. Otherwise, not bad.
Rated 6/10
Pretty solid album.

It was smart of them to name the album after the only good song on the album

I like this.
This was pretty good.
Why is all their choruses things a tough guy would say in the 50s? You’re mouth’s writing checks that your ass can’t catch, it’s my way or the highway, I’m living life in the fast lane.
Also, whenever I’ve seen videos of people mocking nu metal and Fred durst I assumed they were doing an over the top voice but that’s just straight up what he sounds like. Fred Durst sounds like a Fred Durst parody on half of this album. The second half gets better but this album is still trash.

Some great songs from a band still figuring out who they were. Not all zingers but some solid stuff. My Iron Lung is awesome.

Way too long. I was surprised to enjoy some of the songs, I wasn’t optimistic based on the description. It’s funny, for an album marked as blues rock it was mostly folk/americana. And I was partially right to be wary going in, the blues rock songs on here stink, they’re dullsville. But the folkier and jammier stuff was pretty ok.
Rated 6/10
Nowhere near as good as their debut album. I appreciate that they really swung for the fences on here but it’s just ok.
Rated 6/10
I honestly don’t know what to make of this one. It was definitely unique. Not something I’ll listen to again but I didn’t hate it.
Ok now I get some of the hate for prog rock back then. This was not great. At least it was short.
Rated 6/10
Some quality control would have been nice. Not all of these songs needed to be on the album. It was a fine album, but entirely too long.
Rated 4/10
So they really just let anybody be the lead singer back then huh?
Rated 6/10
Not The Who’s best effort, but not a bad album. I liked the concept of it being a radio program. I understand why I can see for miles is the only song off here that’s put in hits compilations.
Rated 4/10
I don’t understand the appeal of this band. I can’t stand the singers voice, and while there’s some decent music on it, it’s not like it stands out from other electronic music being made at the time.
Rated 2/10
I hated this. The songs were boring and all sounded the same. There were no dynamics, it was just the same thing the whole time. I don’t like the vocalist, his voice irked me. There is nothing redeeming about this album for me.
Rated 8/10
I had a cd of No Joke! in high school so I was expecting this album to sound like that. Same band, completely different sound. No Joke! is pretty straight forward alt rock. This was alt country before alt country, proto-alt country? Or is that too much. Either way this album was way ahead of its time and a joy to listen to.
Rated 6/10
I can appreciate what they were doing, but most of this was just ok to me. Talented musicians but I wasn’t thrilled by the singer. I liked the instrumental medley the best.
Rated 6/10
Pretty straight forward blues rock album. I find most blues rock to be dull. This one was not an exception. It had its moments, Beck’s Bolero was kinda cool.
