Absolutely fantastic LP, some tracks are misses here and there but the majority of what's on here is bloody brillaint.

It's not offensive, but it's also not great. Would rather listen to anything else really.
Gorgeous record, full of lively tracks that are some of the best in class.
Pretty solid, some really cool tunes in the mix, among some meh ones. Lyricism on point as is usual for Costello.

The essential jack of all trades record. It does a bit of everything but does not do much to excel in anything.

Very pleasant, with some high moments, but a lot of the tracks blend into each other in my eyes.

Not Gabriel at his best but a very solid album with some great tracks.

Absolute treat of a record and one that has grown on me tenfold since the first listen. Some of the texture here in phenomenal.

Couldn't really form an opinion on this but theres something about it I do not like.

Good. Just good.
Very lush and pleasant album. Lot of love for it.

Surf's up is such a strange record. It's a collection of songs with no real shared theme or throughline, that just kind of sounds like a bunch of the band members ideas smacked into one record.
Don't go near the water is a moody psychedelic environmental piece, Disney girls a more baroque piece, and student demonstration time a more rock N rolling tracks - sounding very far detached from the bands usual tones.
It kind of works though. It's confused and messy but there are moments of real beauty on here, especially on the back end of the album. Feel flows and the final 3 songs (all of which are Brian Wilson written) are gorgeous. If Pet Sounds is an album of pure teenage love and emotion, this is an album more akin to being lost and confused in your 20s
Don't get much more soulful than Otis. Loving you too long is fantastic.

Yes, some of it was stolen, but it's still killer. Absolutely brutal debut with some spiky little tracks. Grast stuff.
Rated 8/10
The sound of the 80s in one record. Some absolutely class on this, and even the tracks that take a backseat are pretty decent. Beloved for good reason.
Rated 8/10
Pretty good. Can see how this could be a bit of a national treasure definitely.
Everything a live album should be. You can feel the energy of the room in every moment. A whole lot of fun.

Another unknown for me, and you know what - everyone else who's rated this low can get lost because what a record this is. I've heard a lot of abstract/experimental hip hop but Mike Ladd's After future creates a soundscape akin to nothing else I've ever heard. It's a record shrouded in a warm ambient fuzz that almost sounds like Eno or Richard D James at times. Every new track seems like a new experiment in how far hip hop as a bar could be pushed. Very beautiful.

Oh, Mozzer they could never make me hate you. You yourself certainly can with you militantly defending baffling stances - but the nay-sayers and the critics most defintley can't.
This isn't a fantastic record, but Morrissey's lyrics and charm (a word used begrudgingly) stop me from damming it any more the neccesary. I think a lot of people take the blokes lyricism a bit too seriously. Taken tounge in cheek this record has some of the funniest moment of songwriting I've ever come across.

Fun and punchy but doesn't really hold attention.
