What moron put this garbage on this list? I don't give a fiddler's fuck about this "shoegaze space rock" trash. 6 minute songs in which nothing happens except echoy boops beeps and zaps, with the odd song having reverb heavy moaned lyrics laid overtop. Fuck this garbage. Try being enthusiastic about the music you're making. My God I hate shoegaze. There's an hour of my life I'll never get back. The only song that had a hope in hell of being in any way good was Run (cover of Lynyrd Skynard's song Call Me the Breeze) but it was even awful.... Just less awful. The first half of the album was "better" than the last half simply because the songs averaged only around 3:30 - 4 minutes each, whereas the last half, they average 6 minutes plus each. No one needs 6 minutes of this horseshit. The album definately overstays its welcome at just over an hour of runtime.

Overall, this album is garbage. No redeeming qualities. Just utter trash.

Favourite songs: Run...i guess?!?

Least favourite songs: Symphony Space, Take Your Time, Shine a Light, Sway, 200 Bars, and the rest of this shitty album.

The Everly Brothers are a 50's - 60's pop group, similar to Elvis Presley or Buddy Holly. A lot of their content deals with how lovely girls are, and being in love. It absolutely feels of its time in that respect, but it is fantastic music all the same.

The Everly Brothers were one of the first "rock 'n' roll" groups, and were there at the formation of the genre. Their harmonies added something to an already popular style of music, and allowed their music to stand out from the rest.

I'm sure younger kids are wondering why these two are huddled around a box with a phone in it on the cover of the album.

Overall, a great record. Nothing I would rush out and buy or listen to, but this late 50's - early 60's rock 'n' roll isn't really in my wheelhouse of favourite genres. That being said, I'm not disappointed about having to listen to it today either. It is perfectly average.

Favourite songs: Lucille, Made For Love, Love Hurts, So How Come (No One Loves Me), "Donna, Donna"

Least favourite songs: That's Just Too Much, "Sigh, Cry, Almost Die"

Definitely MaybeOasis

Rated 10/10

Oasis are a brit pop/rock band, started by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher. This is their debut album. Their second album, "What's the Story, Morning Glory" would propel them to worldwide fame. The stories about Noel and Liam's infighting are both legendary, and hilarious. For example, when in recording sessions for their second album, Liam takes a break and heads down to the pub for a few drinks. He comes back a few hours later drunk, and brings a bunch of random drunk people with him into the studio. Noel is furious, and starts berating Liam and beating his guitars. Liam grabs a cricket bat and hits Noel over the head with it! It is amazing that these two were ever able to make music, let alone the fantastic stuff found on this, and their other albums!! This album is fantastic. I didn't know what to expect, given I only knew their newer stuff, and was unfamiliar with anything off of this record.

Overall, this album is amazing. Not a dud on it at all. A nice light rock feel to it. I usually tend to hate brit pop, but this is brit pop with a pulse. It has a more rockin' feel to it. Will 100% listen again!!

This is my second album by Run-D.M.C. on this generator, and this one is equally as fantastic as the first one!! These guys style of clean early hip hop is awesome and refreshing! Their collaboration with Aerosmith to remix Walk This Way is great!! This album is front loaded for sure, with Peter Piper, It's Tricky, My Adidas, and Walk This Way being the first four songs on the record!

Overall, I loved today's album! Would definately listen again! Perfection on tape!

Favourite songs: It's Tricky, Walk This Way, Raising Hell, My Adidas, Peter Piper, You Be Illin', Is It Live, Hit It Run, Proud to be Black

Least favourite songs: Perfection, Dumb Girl

Emmylou Harris' style of music is country folk. It sounds like a female John Denver. Her voice is beautiful. She does a fantastic job of covering Dolly Parton's song Coat of Many Colors.

Overall, a fantastic album. Perfect for a lazy Sunday.

Fuck, not another Radiohead album.... This is my third one (second one in a week). Thom has apparently decided for this album to just make spacey boop beep and zap noises with shit tons of reverb, and moan into a microphone (which he is so famous for doing), creating a terrible racket.

I spent this whole record waiting for something to happen, waiting for any signs of life at all...nothing. Not a fucking thing happened in 47 minutes. The song Treefingers is literally just almost 4 minutes of reverb... Nothing else....

Overall, this album was complete garbage. Why the fuck does Radiohead get more than 1 fucking album on this list anyways? Just goes to show how skewed this generator is to British trash.

Favourite songs: Optimistic... I guess...

Least favourite songs: this whole shitty album

Another obscure indie rock band from the 90's, great...

The Dandy Warhol's music is like shitty rock music that caters to artsy hipsters (hence the band name). Their music is either OK, or complete garbage. There is nothing in between.

Pete International Airport, and The Creep Show are just noise... Why?!? Also, the album opener, Be-In has 1:40 of basically silence for some reason.

Overall, some weird bullshit today. The highs were high, but there was quite a bit of complete trash on this record. Also, the album kind of overstays its welcome at over an hr in runtime.

Favourite songs: Not If You Were the Last Junkie On Earth, Every Day Should Be a Holiday, Minnesoter, Boys Better

Least favourite songs: Orange, Be-In, I Love You, Whipping Tree, Pete International Airport, The Creep Out

One grest song does not a good album make. Song 2 is steeped in nostalgia of listening to Much Music's compilation album Big Shiny Tunes 2 in middle school. Other than that song, this whole album is a steaming pile of shit. I almost didn't get through it today. I had to listen in sections because it was just so truly awful.

Overall, utter trash. No redeeming qualities. 1 star for Song 2.

Favourite songs: Song 2

Least favourite songs: I'm Just a Killer for Your Love, Theme from Retro, Chinese Bombs, Strange News from Another Star, Movin' On, Essex Dogs

Before today, I'd never heard of The Style Council. I came to learn that they were formed by prior The Jam frontman Paul Weller, and prior Dexy's Midnight Runners keyboardist Mick Talbot. I've reviewed a record by The Jam on here already (Sound Affects), and remember being kind of underwhelmed by it. Apparently, Paul tired of making post punk music, and wanted to take The Jam in another direction. The rest of the band didn't want to change, so Paul quit, and formed this band. This is actually their first full length album.

You can really tell that Paul didn't really have a direction figured out yet, because this album is all over the genre map! The first 7 songs sound like a typical low quality jazz album, then all of a sudden on track 8 (A Gospel), you're hit with a typical shitty 80's rap number for some reason. After that, you get Dexy's Midnight Runners style of 80's pop for the last few songs.

Overall, not a bad record. It kind of suffered sonically from not having a clear direction. It more kind of ambled about, trying many different genres and not really mastering any of them. It would have been better if they had settled on one genre, and really perfected their sound around that. Otherwise, this was a fairly average record. Not one I would actively seek out, but not the worst thing this generator has served to me either.

Favourite songs: Strength of Your Nature, A Gospel, Blue Cafe, Mick's Blessings, Me Ship Came In!, Headstart for Happiness

Least favourite songs: You're the Best Thing

The BendsRadiohead

Rated 6/10

This is my second Radiohead album that I have gotten in this generator. This one is their second studio album. Upon first inspection, I didn't think I knew any of the songs on this album, but as soon as Just started playing I was hit with a wave of nostalgia that instantly transported me back to middle school. That song was included in a Much Music compilation album, Big Shiny Tunes. I loved those records, and I had completely forgotten about that song!

Overall, better than the other Radiohead record I've reviewed (In Rainbows). This album was more firmly rooted in alternative rock, and just flowed better in my mind.

Favourite songs: Just, Bones, High and Dry, The Bends, Black Star

Least favourite songs: Bullet Proof...I Wish I Was, Fake Plastic Trees, (Nice Dream), Street Spirit (Fade Out)

The CarsThe Cars

Rated 8/10

The three songs I knew by The Cars were the first three songs on this record! The Cars are a synth pop/new wave/pop rock band from Boston. Good Times Roll, My Best Friend's Girl, and Just What I Needed are three certified bangers! I was excited to listen to the rest of this album to see how their other stuff stacked up to these hits.

Overall, this was a fantastic album. There really wasn't a dud in the bunch. The play with channels (left ear vs right ear), especially in Moving in Stereo was neat. I can see how this influenced a lot of new music. Glad I took the time to listen to more of their back catalog. I may even go and explore more of their albums.

Favourite songs: Just What I Needed, Good Times Roll, My Best Friend's Girl, You're All I've Got Tonight, Don't Cha Stop, Moving in Stereo

Least favourite songs: I'm In Touch With Your World

DebutBjörk

Rated 2/10

Thank God that's over! What a dumpster fire of musical styles and genres that album was. Bjork can't maintain one specific genre throughout the entirety of this album. She goes from jazz to house to electro pop to art pop, and usually switches multiple times per song. You just start to settle in for a pleasing listen to a song and BAM... You're headed off in a completely different direction.

The one thing that was good about this album is Bjork's voice, but most of the time I have no fucking idea what she's even saying.

Overall, this album was a train wreck. I struggled to get through the album. The house/electronica numbers were leaps and bounds better than anything else on the album. That is because at least those songs had a pulse. For fuck sakes, call this album dead in the water and move on. I won't be listening again, and I'm not looking forward to the other album Bjork has on this generator. Personally, I feel it a disservice that she gets 2 albums on this generator, and an absolute legend such as Harry Belafonte gets none. This generator is definately skewed towards bullshit European bands that no one cares about.

Favourite songs: Play Dead... I guess?!?

Least favourite songs: Like Someone In Love, Human Behaviour... And the rest of the album... What garbage

This is my second Police record I've gotten on this generator. This one, unlike the other one, is extremely experimental! Mostly gone are the heavy reggae sound, and instead, it's been replaced with new wave garbage.

I don't know what the hell happened on Mother, but it is almost unlistenable. Just Sting moaning. Truly painful.

Truth be said, I'm not a huge fan of The Police, and moreso of Sting. He is the same kind of douchebag frontman as Bono from U2. I just find that reggae sung by white people loses something. It's like it isn't genuine or something. Also, whatever the fuck is happening on most of this record is also not up my alley.

Overall, not a great album today. It was a struggle to get through. It is definately stacked in the middle of the record. Once Every Breath You Take comes on, the record gets leaps and bounds better, until Wrapped Around Your Finger, then it returns to its regularly scheduled trash for the last few songs on the record.

Favourite songs: Every Breath You Take, King of Pain, Wrapped Around Your Finger

Least favourite songs: Mother, Walking in Your Footsteps, O My God, Tea in the Sahara

I love CCR! So happy to get to listen to this album today. So many hits (Lodi, Bad Moon Rising, Green River) on one record. This is apparently one of three albums made in the same year.

CCR are a southern rock band. Their mix of fuzzy guitars, and John Fogerty's distinct vocal delivery make for an easy listening experience.

Overall, I loved this album! So much so, I listened to it twice! Being such a fan of CCR, it was nice to listen to an album cover to cover, and discover a few fantastic B-Side songs in the process!

Favourite songs: Lodi, Bad Moon Rising, Green River, Commotion, Cross-Tie Walker, The Night Time is the Right Time

Least favourite songs: Wrote A Song For Everyone
