Nothing grabbed me on this one. Seemed like a little bit of production help could have made a couple of these tracks a bit more accessible.

I'm not sure how I missed this one when it was new, but this was the first time I'd ever heard it. I really enjoyed it all the way through. A few tracks could have been cut down by several minutes, but that was my only complaint.

The first few tracks were pretty fun - very much vintage Beach Boys stuff. This one lost me about halfway through when it went to mostly ballads and more experimental stuff.

I had this in 2001, and I still feel the same way about it now. Lots of interesting, but seemingly unfinished ideas. The best song on the album is the 19-2000 remix.

I bought this new when I was a freshman in high school. Still loud and fun, all these years later. Some surprisingly sharp lyrics that I didn't always catch back then.

Competent, but pretty unremarkable. Nothing really grabbed me.

I enjoyed this one a lot. I had never heard of it before. It is really helpful to read up on Woody Guthrie a bit before listening - the style and lyrics make a lot more sense in context.

I'm a new wave fan, but this one just doesn't have a song that jumps out at me. It's all about 3.5 material for my taste.

I had never listened to this all the way through. I have never really liked 'Hallelujah'... gets repetitive and overly dramatic for my taste. The rest of this was really solid though. Too bad we only have this album from him.

This was pretty popular in its day, for sure. But - it wasn't my thing then, and not now either. I'll grant you that this would probably be much more fun with lasers and beers at a club, rather than in my car on the way to work.

I'm sure it was pretty cutting edge in it's day, but it doesn't feel fresh anymore.
