CirclesMac Miller

Rated 6/10

The production on this is full and groovy. I'm not very impressed with Mac's delivery style, sounds like he is trying to do a Marlon Brandon in the god father impression or like he has a bunch of golfballs in his mouth. Good News has some fun stuff in there. Hands actually sucks as a song, which is a shame because the background track around his lyrics and delivery is great.

Live records are very seldom the best place to get started with a band. One Big Holiday was the first song to grab me but it was set up nicely by the tracks before it. This is somewhere between a Tragically Hip album and a Radiohead album.

an album that deftly mixes the dulcet sweet tones of their vocalist and the groove crunch of the band. No One Knows is such a good single. First It Giveth and Song For The Dead are both awesome. The concept of this being a radio station tune search is also pretty rad. Go With The Flow is another great song. An album so stacked up with hits it is impossible to ignore.

ChuckSum 41

Rated 10/10

An album that i didnt understand in my youth, but is a thorough masterpiece of the skater pop punk genre. Showing a clear mastery of a heavier sonic palette, Sum 41 became something more than its snot nosed origins.

Amour Castuo was the first song to grab me. With this being essentially a greatest hits album and being 3 CDs long, I am assuming whoever put this here is a troll or a superfan. Either way, I will listen to it until I want to put something else on.

THE HIP! Their sound is like if you took the lead singer of the Goo Goo Dolls and then threw them into a blues rock centered classic rock band. This is music for people who are no longer culturally relevant, like myself.
