On paper I should love David Bowie and he seems like a great guy with about 5 good songs, the rest I reeeeeally don't like.

Say what you like about Morrissey, he knows how to pick a guitarist. Some of the guitar lines on this absolutely fucking rip. I liked this a lot when it came out, but it doesn't hit the heights of The Smiths. Also, obviously, fuck Morrissey.

I would BET the title of this album came first. I've liked 'The Book Of Love' for a long time so was excited to get this one and have been looking forward to it. What a fucking disappointment. I'm gonna give it a 1 because it wasted so much of my fucking time. Laters!!

Not bad, actually. Although obviously probably fuck that guy.

They've been popular for so long, and I even dated a girl who had previously dated one of the singers, and STILL this is the first time I've actually listened to the xx. Or perhaps not, because it's not the most memorable music. Has the potential to be really great but sort of misses every opportunity to be exciting :(
