Just outstanding. BB being himself and just bringing the music to life. Not the best guitarist, not the best singer, but putting his soul into what he does and it just makes magic. 4+

One of the most talented and influential artists of my time. While his most popular, probably not my favorite or best album of his out there. Will influence others for centuries to come. 4+

I enjoy her music, but don't really follow her. I enjoyed this album and went through it twice. It's very theatrical - at times poppy - at times rocking - at times even orchestral in its musicality. Left me interested in more, for sure. 3+

Entertaining. Even the tracks not called Come on Eileen... ;) The mixture of early 80's british angst, a little whininess, and a healthy dose of irish folk make for a fun trip and at least one song that will live in infamy. 3

In the sea of 90s/2000s alt-rock bands, Blur really stood out with their style and creativity. I enjoy their approach and songwriting and they put on an outstanding live show. 4.

Very interesting and cool featured artists. Not sure I'm down for it every day, but certainly willing to listen again. 3.

This kind of metal was not my favorite growing up, but I've learned to both respect and enjoy it. At this point when I listen, I actually am disappointed when a ballad like "Snuff" starts up... Again, not a connoisseur, but this might be my favorite Slipknot album. Going with a solid 3+

I mean, c'mon. One of the godfathers of modern rock. Hair bands, grunge, pop, alternative... you name it - they all point to these guys. And this album. It still speaks. 5

This will be unpopular, and it may be due to just over-play of their stuff through the 90s and 2000s, but I am just not a fan. I even really like Billy Corrigan as a person - his interviews, approach to music and writing, etc. - I just get no enjoyment from the music. His voice is whiny or whispery. I get the music - it rocks - and even the writing is good... just cannot handle the voice. 4 for substance. 2 for enjoyment.

Good stuff. I remember this being different when it came out - all kinds of influences through the music - obviously heavy metal, but even hip-hop and grunge. It wasn't mature yet, but it was different and fun and ushered in some normalization of what had been somewhat fringe heavy metal. Their next album was even better, but this one started the process by breaking the mold. I'd say 3+, but I think it's worthy of 4... at least that's how I feel today.

Not my cup of tea... so to speak. Interesting background and I had hears one of the songs before, but just not my favorite. I do thoroughly enjoy Irish and American folk , but this is just too stark. 2.

Interesting. Very diverse and well thought out. I enjoyed listening. I was not aware of the political tie-ins before reading through the Wiki, but I would revisit.

Better than I remember them being. Not life altering, but definitely more influential on my tastes and other bands than I would have thought. They are more than the one or two songs I remembered and pretty quality slice of music from that era and genre. 3.
