Rated 6/10

The album isn't bad, but it's kinda everywhere. The last few songs were good, but didn't sound like most of the album so it kinda threw me off. However, Thirteen is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life, so I'll give them credit for that

The second half is much better than the first, but not enough save this album. The Killing Moon is a song I already knew and I love a lot, but I never listened to the album it's featured on before, so my hopes were pretty high unfortunately. Not a bad album but eh, just expected better

Rated 8/10

As much as a good handful of the lyrics are dated, especially the whole song of Walk On The Wild Side, this album is a near perfect masterpiece. The songwriting of Lou Reed and his dead pan voice is not for everyone and I can get behind and understand that, while I can also acknowledge he's one of the best to do it. It's on MANY "greatest albums of all time" lists for a very good reason.

I feel like the songs got better when the album kept going. The last song Jenny is a really good closer. I've been wanting to listen to this album and this finally gave me the excuse to listen and I can say I'm satisfied.

I was extremely hesitant to listen to a jazz album, after listening to the few I've gotten on this generator I came to the conclusion I don't like jazz, however I actually kinda like this. Really what sold me was the song Take Five, which I swear I've heard before, but I liked that a lot. The other were songs were fine and chill and different from the jazz I've heard before. Makes me wonder I just like some jazz a lot more than other types of jazz.

After the first song, which is less than a minute long, I thought "Wow this is not for me I do not like this and will not kike the rest of the album." Despite this I listened to two and a half more songs. And my thought did not change a single time. Sure this will go good in a mosh pit or maybe even a very crazy rave, but I do not mosh in the pit nor do I go crazy in raves.
Long story short, I don't like this but I see the appeal and it never will appeal to me

About is silly and fun as it is corny. I am way too old to like this kind of music or to have a decent opinion on this, so I'm just gonna say for the time it was good.
