I thought this was fine. The covers were interesting, not sure they're better than the originals, but at least interesting to listen to. Decent funk stuff going on, but nothing that knocked me over.

This is just a fine (at best) album that's hurt by it's length. With editing, might get to be a 3, but I never really need to hear this again.

I enjoyed this way more than I expected to. I think I just really like Ice Cube as a lyricist, even if I don't like what the lyrics are about. The protest songs and angry songs are good, the misogynistic ones do not age well at all.

But color me surprised, I was really into the whole album. Probably loses a star because of how badly some of the content has aged, but still, I was surprised.

I wasn't a fan of this one at all. After the first song, I thought it might not be all that bad, it was decent, but then it descended into this arty for arty sake bullshit, and it really wasn't good. I couldn't wait for it to be over.

Sludgy, grungy, and more metal than I understood before *really* listening to it.

It's an exceptional album.

Arcade Fire is just easy to listen to. It doesn't challenge anything, and sometimes that's exactly what I'm looking for. When in the right mood, it's a good listen.

I hated this. I hated her voice. I hated how long and meandering the songs are. I hated the arrangements, the recording, and just about everything else.

Somehow she took everything I hate about Bjork and made it possibly worse. Wait, I don't think it's possible to get worse than Bjork, but it's bad.

There is something here, and I think you can start to see where Nick Cave is going to end up. But the recording is pretty rough and the songs are like you took Joy Division and told them to forget how to play.

That said, I might revisit in the future, as it's not terrible. It's okay.

Maybe I'm just in a great mood this week, but I really dug this. It's more country than I thought I liked, but the songwriting earnestness of his singing really caught me.

I really didn't think I was going to like this album after the first song. I get it, it's a great jazz/rock thing, but I'm just not that into the jazz part.

But then the songs with vocals came on, and I liked the album better. A LOT better. By the end, I went back and listened to Glad again, just to see if I was being too harsh (I wasn't, I still don't like it) but the rest of the album is very good.

This isn't the worst hip-hop I've had to listen to, but I don't see ever putting it on again.

I think there's a good album in here, somewhere. But it's so damn long that it gets lost in itself. And it's not good enough to be this long.

There's some very interesting things here. But, given the length, and style of music, it's just okay for me.
