I liked this one. It's more country than I usually listen to but some of what he did with the studio (and I read later that it was considered a little over the top at the time) I liked. And the songwriting connected with me a little. I'd listen to this one again.

I am just not a fan of the Beastie Boys. This is the best of their albums for me, even if it is juvenile. But like the rest of their albums, after I get past the singles, I'm just not a huge fan of what's there.

That said, there's enough singles on here to get a one star bump from my other Beastie album ratings.

I really enjoyed listening to this slice of 80s pop. It's exactly what you think it'd be if I told you that was the genre, but that's okay.

This was my favorite Gabriel album so far, but that might just because it had the most familiar songs on it. That said, even being my favorite, it's still just fine.

Rated 8/10

I liked this. I found some of the songs repetitive, but overall I enjoyed listening to it.

I really liked the drums, the bass, and the guitar The grooves. I could see how it would influence some other metal bands that I know better.

But I just couldn't ever really get into it.

I think this is better than School's Out as an entire album, but I think it's still shy of great. Probably a 3.5 but I'll round up because I'm in a good mood.

Like the other Fela Kuti, this one surprised me by how much I enjoyed it. It's very funky and fun and I'd listen to it again.

This was okay. I like his voice, and some of the songs were pretty good. It got weird at the end, and I didn't like that so much.

Lots of stuff I love here a lot. And I listened to the expanded CD that has the absolute banger "Oh Bondage, Up Yours!"

Possibly the best of the female led punk groups from the 70s.

There are a lot of Byrds albums on this list and they're all over the map for me in terms of how much I like them. This one? This one I liked. I'd listen to this again.

Ninety808 State

Rated 4/10

I thought this could've been fine, but there were a couple songs towards the second half that REALLY annoyed me. So that drops it a bit in my rating.

Ian Dury, are you a real act or a joke? I'm not sure. But I'm here for the fun.

The second half of the album is a little stronger than the first half with some more interesting songs.

It's not high art, but it's funny and fun. It gets knocked a few stars just because it's not something I'll listen to often (Except for Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll, that song is great.)
