I may need to come back to this week of albums. I’m stuck at home with a torn calf, in pain/taking painkillers and falling alseep during albums.

From what I can recall I didn’t particularly enjoy this.

I really don’t get the comparisons between oasis and the Beatles. Especially when the stone roses are right there.

It’s not bad. It’s just really generic. And i can help get wound up by the swagger you can hear through the songs, which i’m sure some people find endearing.

Nearly gave it one star as a joke. Obviously 5 stars.

Whats amazing to me is this the final album they recorded together. With all the tense “I’m leaving the band” moments and on their way to breaking up. Yet I think this is there most cohesive sounding album.

The magic trick for me is always “the suite” which ties the majority of the second side into one medley bringing back elements.

Oh to be 19 and mildly depressed…. Still a great album, and I was already wearing my black jeans and flannel shirt when I got this. So not a huge amount has changed really.

Completely forgot this band existed. I remover hearing some of their stuff in the soundtrack for a game, I think grand tourismo, and liking it at the time. But now listening back it feels like music you’d only listen to if you didn’t have an older sibling/friend to tell you just to listen to dinosaur jr. first half is ok, but then it just goes on and on. Certainly has no business appearing on this list.
