Massive Attack is one of my favorite bands. I got into trip hop partly because of them. I started with Mezzanine. It fitted in wonderfully with my sound at the time. I only came across Blue Lines - which I had already heard in this project - later through a friend and had to listen to it for a while. It was only later that I came across the album Protection. I really liked it, but it seemed to me to be the weakest of the three. The cover version of Light my Fire was unnecessary, but the rest of the album was still very good. This year Massive Attack are playing live in my area. I'm looking forward to going to the concert. 5/5

A great album. This is one of my favorite Pink Floyd albums. It's right up there with Meddle, Whish You Were Here and Animals. I think the band's other albums are great too - I'm a Pink Floyd fan - but these 4 are the landmarks. That's why I didn't have to listen to the album. But this gave me the opportunity to do it again. I also took another look at the story of Clare Torry, the singer of The Great Gig in The Sky. Always interesting, too. 5/5

After the references to Kraftwerk, Captain Sky and Ennio Morricone, I was interested in the album despite the genre. I listened to the first track on the album. I immediately recognized the Kraftwerk samples. However, it was the kind of hip hop I don't know what to do with. After just over a minute, I'd had enough. I didn't feel like listening to any of the rest of the album either. The album may have been groundbreaking and pioneering for its genre, but I just don't like the genre. 1/5

This is one of the first albums I bought. Judging by the year of release, it must have been relatively old at the time. But I thought the music was great, the cover art was fascinating and I had enough pocket money for it. Now, after a long time, I've listened to it again in its entirety. Even though I've rightly forgotten about it a bit, I still think it's great. Maybe I'll listen to it more often now. 5/5

Maybe it's because of my familiarity with the album from my later youth. Although this mix of African music, world music and pop usually gets on my nerves, I quite enjoyed listening to the album. Even if I won't listen to it that often, it has brought me closer to African rhythms. 4/5

So now the 4th album from Talking Heads for me in this project, their debut album. And again I realize that the music, and therefore this album, doesn't mean much to me. After listening to about half of it, I'd had enough and switched to something else. I find the music a bit thin, flat and meaningless. At least it doesn't bother me, but then I don't have to listen to it either. 3/5

This is exactly the kind of singersong writer music that I don't like. American Pie brings back sentimental feelings of my youth. And I didn't particularly like the song then either. It was just played a lot. The rest of the album quickly got on my nerves. 2/5

I've never heard of the band or this album. Based on the genre description and average rating, I feared the worst. It turned out differently. I really liked the album. Maybe I'm not thrilled, but I will certainly listen to the album again. 4/6

My points of contact with jazz are not that great, although I like the genre. I'm not that familiar with it. That's why Jimmy Smith and this album didn't mean anything to me. My interest was piqued by the genre classifications of jazz and funk. And I was not disappointed. A great album that will now find its way into my collection and that I will certainly listen to more often. I'm happy to take part in the project for something like this. 5/5

I've always liked this album. The collaboration with William Orbit really did Madonna good musically. Before, the music was too disco-like for me. Frozen is one of my favorite pieces. Listening to the album, I remembered some songs that I had forgotten. It's nice that these memories are fresh again. 5/5

The random generator probably didn't pick this album at random today, on Boxing Day. And that's the only reason I listened to it at all. It suited the mood quite well. I wouldn't have listened to it at any other time. And despite it being Christmas time, the music got on my nerves after a while. Because it's Christmas: πŸŽ…πŸ½ 2/5

Rated 8/10

If I remember correctly, I only listened to the album casually and very superficially when it first came out. It's a good thing I've listened more closely now. As is so often the case with Bowie, it wasn't the music I was expecting from him. And also as so often, I liked it a lot. A great album that I will certainly listen to again. 4/5

Maybe it's a question of generation, whether you like it or not. I think Lorde's voice is good, the arrangements are popular - nothing against pop - but boring. Perhaps I would find the music more interesting if I knew nothing else. But the thing is, I know other - and yes, older - music that is much more interesting, at least for me. Meanwhile, I find it almost amusing to mirror my perspective on that of my previous generations and see the same thing there that the young rangers probably see in me now. I hope for the sake of the now young Gen-Z, Alpha or whatever they want to call themselves, that they get to the age where they listen to the mockery of their successors and can no longer understand their enthusiasm for their music. I suspect Lorde will be gone by then, but the Beatles, the Stones etc. will still be influential. 3/5

Ok, not nearly as bad as I thought and expected after reading some of the comments. I like some of Frank Zappa's music, but I can't get into a lot of his stuff. In this respect, I feared much more shrillness. I understand the satirical aspect and it's funny. But in the end it's not music that I really listen to. 3/4

I was not familiar with this album by Simon & Carfunkel. However, I knew Scarborough Fair and a few other songs. It was nice to hear them again. Overall, the music is much better than the horrible cover art. How do you come up with that? 3/5

I don't quite understand the enthusiasm in the forum. Maybe the album was groundbreaking in the 70s, but you can't hear that anymore today. I quite liked the track Marquee Moon. The rest played quietly in the background. That's fine, but it doesn't excite me. 3/5

I wasn't familiar with the name of the band. But I already knew the song The Message. I don't like hip hop. But I do like funk. And this really is a pretty funky hip hop album. It was fun in parts. The album probably won't appear in my daily stream, but it was quite interesting. 3/5

Finaly, this project brought me closer to the Beatles. In this context, I also learned to appreciate goerge Harrison's music. At some point in the late 70s, Mull of Kentyre also spilled over the canal into my channel. I liked the song back then. And so I was curious about this album, which I hadn't heard before. It didn't excite me, rather bored me. Even for the sake of completeness, I wouldn't have listened to it. 3/5

A great album. Even the track List for Life is great. The Passenger is one of my favorites. I listen to it again and again. 5/5
