I am quite surprised I never got around to listening to Elvis Costello. This is quite alright actually, for sure 3 stars and something I will probably want to REVISIT in the future?

Not sure what to even say about this. I appreciate her as an artist which she clearly is. But this is just not my thing, still probably 4 stars and I like some songs but her voice is just so shrill to me and I really have to be in the mood. Good music. I like all the Irish and Celtic influences here.

First Queen album for me on this list! One of my favourite bands of all time, but i have to say this is not among my favourites, still a superb album, perhaps their proggiest. I love seven seas and the march of the Black Queen. Probably solid 4 stars.

Yet another nostalgic trip back... Legendary Hard Rock album, and yes I said Hard Rock rather than Metal. I really wish they stayed with their 80s sound, but this is classic for a reason. Probably quite easy 5 stars, not surprisingly.

Part of Bob's great electric Trilogy. Perhaps my least favourite out of 3, but still great nevertheless. Definitely also strongly considering 5 stars for it. And really hard to choose, if possible, the favourite track here - between title track, Like a Rolling Stone, Ballad of a Thin Man, Desolation Row and Queen Jane Approximately, this album contains some of the Bob's best work.

Did not really do much for me at all.. I thought beats were very weak, the only one I liked is from Method Man and came way before this, so.. No more than 2 stars.

This definitely made me a strong impression on my long time ago when I first heard it. Haven't listened to them in ages, but I reckon it still 5 in my books.

OK, this is pretty rad, exactly the reason I even started the challenge to hear something new and fresh to me. I liked the first song, surprised by the cover of "Imagine" which was quite interesting. Might go for 3 stars, does get a bit samesy and I feel like this western instrumentation does not always serve to make the music better here, but indeed a very interesting discovery. OK, so I gave a dead average of 2.5/5.0 for RYM but I will round to 3 stars. Interesting start of the year, today is January 1st 2026.

Does not seem to contain tracks nearly as memorable as in Hounds of Love. However it's not bad at all, I liked This Woman's Work and possibly "Never be mine". Dead in the center with 3 stars.

I've been waiting for this one! Never took time to properly listen to this album and I love "Dummy" - so far this is very different experience from their debut, not neccessarily in a bad way though. A lot of noise, ambience and drones here, and dare I say, I feel a lot of krautrock influence which for me is always a plus. So far might give 4 stars, not sure if more, but I will want to REVISIT it in the future as well.

P.S. Few re-listens already, opener "Silence" is really cool krautrock. "Nylon Smile" reminds me of Can, also digging "The Rip" and "We Carry On". So might give 4.5/5.0 on RYM. Definitely strong 4 stars here.

Alrighty, so this work is highly rated. I had to listen to this a few times to sink it in. I like the closer, the opener and some other songs. This is not really my type of sound but I can see why it was highly rated and might even give 4 despite not being my thing, but I might also want to REVISIT album in the future. P.S. I am definitely enjoying this quite a lot after a few listens, it is unique and I can feel the presence and influence of Pixies, R.E.M., Jesus and Mary Chain and older post-punk acts here.

Seems very mid, I get that the Faces is part of rock history, but really not sure if this one deserves the spot on the list. Very average sounding blues rock album, not terrible, bit definitely not great, at most can be 3 stars.

Funky, sweet, beautiful masterpiece. Really great album, probably 5 stars, up 1 star just because of the title track. On RYM I have rated this one 4.5, but will probably go to the max here, why not. I think I should REVISIT some of the songs I am not as much familiar with later on!

Maybe I'm slightly biased because Zep is my favourite rock band of all time, so this is easy 5 stars for me! Worth noting out of first 5 or 6 Zep albums this one is the only one I rated 4.5 on RYM with all the others being 5.0! That's just how much I love them and I don't really care if that offends anyone.

I am not a big fan of novelty songs, but this is quite a good classic collection of Christmas songs. Gotta give it to Mr. Phil the Killer. Probably between 3 and 4 stars. I suppose this is indeed the definite Christmas album, but then again I just don't care for this stuff.

Today is Christmas Eve and I feel like it's not enough time to get into this.. i have heard about this artist a lot, but this is finally first time I'm about to listen to him seriously, so might even take 2 days.

So I have listened to it once by now and yes, it is quite beautiful music, but to be honest I still don't see why this guy was revered so much, hopefully that's not just because of how his life has ended. Already rated as of now 3.5 on RYM, but I just can't see giving 4 stars here, at least not for now. Perhaps this is one to REVISIT in the future?

I like this album a lot, but I would prefer "Im Bleach" on this list. Definitely 4 stars, maybe more, but not sure, need to listen more to it, but not enough time! But I see already rated this 4.5/5.0 on RYM so there's that.

The title song is clearly a masterpiece, but I wish I could say the same about the rest - and I haven't even finished listening to this, but don't have very high expectations, probably 3 stars just like I gave to their debut.

I guess according to this list I hate soul music? Which couldn't be further from the truth really. I have heard of her before but only now learned she is Beyonce's sister, if that matters. Music is alright, production is slick as most pop records these days really so I can't increase rating based just on that. Probably 2 stars for this one, dont even care to finish listening to it.
