I already had these guys and wasn't impressed that much. But this ones is better so far after 1 listen. Might go for 3 stars. Honestly this might be first modern indie album I might even want to REVISIT!? "Intervention" stuck out to me and maybe couple of other tracks

This feels very AC/DC to me. Not bad at all, but nothing super original or new here at all, so I don't really see what's the point of having this album on this list. Probably 3 stars, it's alright, enjoyable listen indeed.

So foremost, I said it before, and I will say it again - how come the most prolific composer of 20th century has only 1 album on this list, and it's a live one??? Despite all of that, this is absolutely a legendary performance, can't get any better than this, swinging goodness, the best big band ever in my opinion of course along with Count Basie's. So this is easy 5 stars for these reasons for me, real highlights for me are "Festival Junction" and "Jeep's Blues". I love Duke's vocal ad libs in the background.

So this will be difficult one to rate, not because I don't like Bjork, but I am not a huge fan either. She is a difficult artist for me to grasp. This is very interesting, minimal, mellow record. Only listened to half of it, and feels like it deserves 4 stars, maybe even the one to REVISIT in the future?

P.S. I see I alredy rated Homogenic a 4.0 on RYM and that is the one which I kind of get, but I can't imagine giving this one 3 either so f**k it - let's say 4.0 both here and on RYM, she deserves it

Achtung BabyU2

Rated 6/10

Never was quite sure why this is regarded so highly- even now after fully listening to it, perhaps for the first time. Even biggest songs which I know "One" and "Mysterious Ways", I like, but don't really care that much for, so I can't see rating this more than 3.

Rated 4.5/5.0 on RYM. This is absolutely easy strong 4 stars, 2 classic stones cuts, but apart from those this album is very strongly blues oriented and clearly influenced by Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson and others. I love No Expectations, Jigsaw Puzzle and Stray Cat Blues among others. Might even go to 5 stars, but then again, I don't want to be too generous here. But I love this album for sure, def in top 4 stones albums, maybe even top 3.

It's not bad, never heard of her before. But also delivery and voice and lyrically it's really a bit boring to me. Probably just about average. "Small blue thing" stood out to me

SO listened to this almost fully on my way to work. Especially helps knowing the context and story behind this album which is full of tragedy. And it does feel like it listening to this - a grim, very dark, somber, melancholic and serious listen. Really hard to judge something like this in one day of listening.

I'm not a pop music fan by any means, but these guys are relatively decent. And I even knew 2 songs out of this one. Probably right in the middle of the road for me, maybe a bit below, but that's just my taste

Never heard about this guy before, in theory I should really like it but it's kind of boring, some nice moments maybe and music is not horrible but I don't really care for it, can not see more than 3 stars, but will probably give 2

Alright, alright, alright! Busy day today, got a nice jacket and park run so almost no time to re-listen to this, but I do have it on vinyl as it wasn't on Spotify, one of the first records I ever bought actually. Classic funk, robably can go to 4 stars, will see

L.A. WomanThe Doors

Rated 10/10

What an album! Blues rock masterpiece no doubt and perhaps the bluesiest offering from the Doors. Also this is last album to feature Jim, some of my favourite tracks are here. Rated 4.5 on RYM so at least 4 stars here but I see this going for 5 stars as well.

Weirdly I did not expect XTC to sound like this, from what I heard of them before it was pretty standard new-wave post-punk type of stuff which I liked. This is more like baroque pop, beatlesque type of stuff. Not bad, but I don't care about it too much either so probably yet another 3 stars. Rated 3.5/5.0 on RYM. I think I should REVISIT this artist, not neccessarily this album though. I want to check out their stuff from the 80s

Cool, never heard of these guys so that's always appreciated. Sounds like a decent punk album, but nothing super smashing great, definitely not bad either, probably once again middle of the road for me.

This is quite interesting, I don't know why I was expecting yet another indie album. However as interesting as this is, I am not so huge on post-rock despite obvious influence of this band. A lot of ideas here but feels kind of loose. Probably right in the middle for this one.

Ok, foremost I love the cover of this album. Some decent funk and soul in here. Will be hard to rate, probably right in the middle with 3 stars, but not sure yet. Probably the one to REVISIT in the future as well! "The Cisco Kid" is a great song!

Rate it 3.5 on RYM, and I really enjoyed, but I don't want to be too generous on this list, so I might give strong 3 stars here still, but we will see. But I am really feeling inclined towards 4 as well, stumped!

Sorry, but for me, it sounds just like yet another boring indie record. Does absolutely nothing for me, probably not complete thrash, but I skipped most of it and really don't want to listen again, we will see. Max 2 stars.

Rated 6/10

Very cool to have this album here, never sat down and listened to it, but well aware of this work. Obviously I was already more than familiar with "Good Vibrations" but I now also love "Heroes and Villains". Not sure what to give this one, between 3 and 4 stars most likely. It is an enjoyable to listen but does feel a bit unpolished and unfinished, some great ideas here. Rated 3.5 on RYM, perhaps should REVISIT in the future...
