I could really do without the moaning in Same Old Show, but otherwise this is a pretty decent example of late 90s electronica.

Don't Wish Me Well was the only song that stood out in a formless sea of pretty vocals.

Was he having a manic episode when this was recorded? I mean, the guy's biography reads like three mental illnesses in a trenchcoat.

Beck is so good at putting together an eccentric collection of sounds and making it work. Genuinely love this album, listened to it last night after getting it from the generator and again this morning just for funsies.

I think Oasis is a Small Doses Band. One song in a mix? Cool. Twelve songs in a row? I was swearing under my breath after track 8. All of their songs sound very similar to my ears, it got tedious.

Just within the scope of the 1001 Albums Generator, I've heard so many other acts make better versions of this style of music. This is only a must listen if you need an annoyingly mediocre baseline to make other acts like New Order sound even better by comparison.

Good solid classics on this album, nothing I feel particularly passionate about.

Music for people who enjoy hanging out in coffee shops. Nothing wrong with that, no judgement, it's just really not my kinda thing.

This sounds like nobody was close enough to their microphones during recording - tinny and hollow. Production matters! Maybe try being sober for at least part of the recording process?

Not available on Deezer, had to turn to YouTube. The music is so phenomenal that I couldn't even get that annoyed at the ads being thrown in every other track. I'm thinking about getting this one in a physical media format so I can enjoy it properly.
