This is one of those albums that conflicts me. I quite enjoyed it.
Also, Ryan Adams is an asshole and sexual predator.
Would’ve been a 4, but I’ll knock it down for him being awful. Also, the Morrisey thing.

It is, indeed, Black Monk Time. This is so good.
Rated 8/10
More fun than I thought.

I get why this was in the list, but I could only take so much.
I love The Mammas and the Papas. So much.

I was surprised by this one! I always wrote Todd Rundgren off, but this was pretty great.
Rated 6/10
I liked it and it had some really nice 4 or 5 star moments, but not enough to raise the entire album above a 3.
Rated 6/10
I liked it OK. Didn’t blow me away.

For Music League, one of Marnie’s round ideas is songs by artists you have a crush on.”
I think if we ever do it, I’ll have to submit a Kate Bush song.
Rated 6/10
Surprisingly good, but overly long. Some great songs and moments, but a lot of filler that could’ve been cut out.
It’s very hard to argue against this being on this list. I’ve listened to this on a few occasions before and again today, and it really is interesting. The length is helped by the juxtaposition between the electric/acoustic set. I can see how it could have been jarring for the audience, but both sets are very good and most of them seem to be into it.
It also shows that Bob actually used to be good live.
Also, the link sent me to the wrong album.

I was unfamiliar and excited to listen. Turned out I liked it WAY more than I thought I would.
Rated 6/10
It was fine/good. A 3.5.
I knew about this album but never listened. I love a lot of it. Some of it, not so much. Some trimming could’ve gotten it a 5.
Rated 6/10
A couple of great hits, a few more good songs, and then the majority is pretty underwhelming. It’s a nice listen, but didn’t blow me away.
Rated 6/10
I tried to get into The Police. They never stuck with me. This is an uneven album. Mother is awful. The hits are good. A three, I guess.
Rated 6/10
Some pretty awesome highlights, but a lot of stuff was just meh.

One of my favorite albums of all time.
It’s an automatic 5, so I didn’t need to listen to this. But I did.
The Everly Brothers, I think, are best in “Best of” compilations. They made a solid block of 5 star music.
The rest of their stuff is still “pretty good.”
This is an easy 3 and I rolled the idea of giving it a 4 around in my brain.
Started out strong. Evened out to a three.
