This didn't do much for me. A bit of a mess, and as many styles as there are tracks.

Very poppy. Very good fun. Nothing about this is complicated or even surprising, but it's a great way to spend an hour.
This was a struggle. I have been able to appreciate the value in Duck Stab/Buster & Glen, Trout Mask Replica, Opus Dei, and even uncountable hours of 69 Love Songs, but this stretched my commitment.
The first track is bad in the most pointless way. Track 2 honestly had me thinking it was a Monty Python sketch - but honestly it was entertaining. Then track 3 manages to provide something approaching music for the first half, but disintegrates into mush. Track 4 has a recorder and a kazoo competing for most annoying. And why is this track so absurdly long? This is absolute wank.
Somehow whoever was in charge of this plane seems to decide to land it after these 13 minutes in free fall. 5 and 6 absolutely fly by as almost competent compositions (well except track 6 forgetting that it is supposed to be a waltz about halfway through).
In the end it’s either a 1 or a 5 - let’s stick with the spirit of this project and go 5.

Not really punk enough to be great, but a collection of fast, brief, high energy tracks. What's not to like.

Some really cook polyrythms and a great horn section. Not at all helped by the terrible early stereo split.

Very dreamy, but supprisingly harsh things happening in the background. I really can't think of anything else that sound quite like this.

This album has some amazing tracks, but it is very long, and honestly the quality of the material does decline quite a bit after the halfway mark.
Alright. Dude has an amazing voice, and musically everything works, but 90 minutes of what is essentially souped up call and response, in a language I have no understanding of, and no connection to, is asking a lot. I don't have anything bad to say about this, but it's simply not for me.

I genuinely loved this.
This isn’t groundbreaking or challenging, but poppy fun has it’s place. I was honestly ready to hate this, but every track had me entertained.

I loved this much less than I hoped to. The opening tracks are great, but I struggle to find anything interesting in the last half.

I have never been into Springsteen, but this album is amazing. Everything is bigger. The sound is huge, the ambition is even bigger.

I love The Smiths much, much more than I should, and I'm not sure I can explain why. The jangly guitars, interesting lyrics and the overly dramatic singing just works.
Rated 8/10
The Doors is one of those bands you instantly recognise from their unique sound, and it's there from the first choord of their debut album.
I had a long period where I loved The Doors, but honestly the keyboard wank does go a bit beyond what's reasonable.
This is so country it's almost a parody. I honestly like it though. Starts stronger than it finishes.
Very funky, very dark. Starts strong but loses a bit of steam before picking back up.

This is a distillation of everything I dislike about David Bowie.

Such a great opener, and such a disastrous decline in quality almost immediately.
There are some interesting tracks here, but the lows are truly low.

I love this. Super high energy. Simple and short tracks. Would have been a easy 5, but compilations are not albums, and do not belong on this list.

I liked this a lot more than I expected. Maybe I never gave Courtney Love a fair chance.

Good old style country, but Waylon Jennings seem to have a lot more rock influences than you'd expect.
