Maybe the first “nominated for the Mercury Prize” in the description record that wasn’t completely awful. Friends, it only took 1000 previous records listened to reach this true milestone.

This felt like a Chuck D solo record, which it is not. But super political early 90s hip hop checks a lot of my boxes.

There’s some good songs on this, but this double record got a bit long in the tooth for me.
Good early punk!

I did not feel like this made me want to shake my money maker.

This is fine. For me the vibrato on Joan’s voice is a bit much.

This record is awesome. Despite the fact that it is over 50 years old it sounds like it could have been recorded yesterday.

I dug this! I Wanna Destroy You is a great pseudo-punk tune. Will give this more listens.

Very 90s rock.

My first thought when I got this was - named after a Kinks song this better be good!
Dear reader, it is not. In fact it’s awful 80s soft rock.

These dudes must have been super fun to see live at this time.

This reminded me of your friend’s band when you were in high school - a few decent songs and an unironic low production value.
Really made me feel like I should be herding ship in the Himalayas.

Meh.

This has some Sonic Youth vibes. And I don’t care much for Sonic Youth.

John Prine is one of those artists that I can’t believe I didn’t knowingly hear until I was in my 40s. Anyways - great singer/songwriter.

Look - I’ll be honest. I looked at the track list and was like, nah. If you’ve heard one Bon Jovi song you’ve heard them all.

Bowie’s disco record? Not my favorite of his. But you could do worse than having Young Americans stuck in your head all day.
Rated 2/10
Really uninteresting country. Like so bad.

Boomer rock that was not as bad as whatever swill Santana was putting out in the early aughts.
