Some fairly primitive hip-hop. Real OG shit to be sure. Ice T can definietly rap, but this album didn't do a whole lot for me. I probably just need to be more gangster.

A well-crafted, fairly enjoyable album. Occupies more of a background music space than a direct, engaged listening space. Not blown away by any of it, but nothing to dislike here either.

The percussion gives these songs a certain chaotic energy that really suits them well. This sure isn't smooth jazz, even though it has its moments of smoothness. Not the typical kind of thing I enjoy listening to, but this certainly wasn't bad.

A solid 70's rocker. While it didn't blow my mind, I did find myself enjoying it quite a bit more than I anticipated as the album went on. I dig, I dig.

Looks, this is very good. A true classic, without a doubt. BUT IT JUST DOESN'T DO IT FOR ME. Not my thing. Glad to have finally heard the album, but highly doubt I will do it again. It's not you, it's me.

I think you need to be willing to go pretty far off the beaten path of the sounds of mainstream music to be able to appreciate Tom Waits. Thankfully I find myself having some unusual tastes, so this album is just fine to my ears! I do wonder how much gravel Tom Waits has eaten in his life, though.

Now this was a pleasant surprise. It's melodic, it's groovy, it's disturbed, it's depressed, it's got it all!

For some reason Peter Gabriel's music just doesn't hit the spot for me. It isn't bad, it isn't uninteresting, but I just have no desire to listen to it.

Definitely some enjoyable songs on this album, but even more just plain mid songs that didn't do anything for me. My biggest gripe is that a lot of the melodies are weak and uncompelling. A bit more refinement and fleshing out of the songs would have gone a long way to elevate things. Way she goes.

Man, this album rocks! I especially enjoyed the Janice Joplin cover, they absolutely killed it. Pure fun energy start to finish.

Dictators are usually spectacularly unfun, so kudos to The Dictators for bucking the trend and giving us an unspectacularly fun album!
