The first two or three songs I liked but then I got increasing uninterested as it went on. Not for me.

…this feels like a very random album to appear on this list? I am very confused. I even went to the corrected links posted in the reviews and it was better than the incorrect Spotify link but still didn’t feel especially exceptional or special in any way to me.

I’m embarrassed to say I confused Dusty and Rick and thought that Dusty was a guy until very recently. Oops.
Love her voice! I can only imagine what seeing her live during this time would’ve been like. So much soul and passion, but all cushioned with softness. Beautiful.

I did not like the first song, but I’m glad I didn’t let it influence the rest because I really enjoyed this! It felt very 80s and was fun and dreamy. I can’t believe I’ve never heard of them before!

Classic. Comfort.

Comforting, as always.

Al Green's voice is so incredibly soothing. So much "Lover Boy" energy in these songs and it's just so comforting! Love him so much and so happy to be doing this project and getting exposed to albums like this that I would normally not reach for.
Love QotSA! Haven’t listened to them in a while and this was a reminder of how incredible they are at what they do.

Has a theatrical quality to it! Very cool. Not quite for me, but I’m glad I finally got the motivation to sample a Nick Cave album after hearing about him for so long!

Iconic vocals and instruments. You always know it’s Ozzy when you hear him (RIP) and can always tell it’s Black Sabbath by the guitar riffs. Badass energy. “Changes” is such an amazing song (check out Yungblud’s cover of it…also amazing).

Oh man. I listened to this album in high school over and over again after a crush made their AIM away message a line from Waiting In Vain. This is going to take me down memory lane and I’m here for it!
Is it possible to listen to Bob Marley’s voice and not feel like just maybe life could actually turn out okay?
Rated 6/10
So glad to have finally listened to them after hearing about them, even references in movies and such, for a long time.
This was nice to hear in the background, but I didn’t feel personally called to it.

I’m pretty sure this whole book and list was made just so that these incredible 39 minutes could be highlighted, underlined, and bolded.

This is such a strange album, but yet…I somehow like it. And not sure why because I usually hate discordance. But this somehow works even though I didn’t hear of this band before now! They are pretty badass.
“Trainspotting” literally made me think of Gorillaz. I can’t help but wonder if this was an influence!

Had goosebumps 11 years ago when I first heard “Hello” and still get goosebumps now. Adele is a Goddess incarnate, that’s all I can tell you. There was no chance this album was ever going to be anything other than a 5 for me. Love her.
If someone wanted to know what the year 2000 sounded like, I would point them to this album.
I’ve never heard of PJ Harvey before (and am so glad this introduced her to me!) because she is quite the badass. And Thom Yorke on a few songs?! That just made this even more insanely awesome!
Rated 10/10
The instrumentals of the first song were jarring for me through my earbuds, so I didn’t have the best first impression. And I also immediately thought, “Whoa, this vocalist sounds like a modern Bob Dylan!”
But then…as the album went on, I fell more and more in love. And was really pulled into it. Each song is so unique and his voice is also uniquely expressed in each one, so, sure, he CAN sound like Bob Dylan but is also so much more and has his own unique sound! I really love “Suffering” and also the instrumental songs. They all just went together so well.
Maybe this is an example of “don’t judge a book by your cover” because I actually really, really ended up loving this. It just kept getting better and better. I went from thinking it would be a 3 or 4, but it is definitely a 5 for me. I want to listen to it again and again.

Not for me.
