Rated 8/10

Never listened to this before the challenge somehow and wow what a mistake. This is light and airy dream pop, pulls from a few other places as well. Norway, Zebra, Silver Soul, Used to Be, 10 Mile Stereo are all killer tracks. Gotta be a 4

Rated 4/10

Everything on here except for 10 Mile Stereo felt boring to me. 5/10

Rated 6/10

I’ve never heard of the band or the album before. The music was pretty good, though it did tend to veer into the realm of polite boredom. I can’t decide if I want to listen to the album again. But at least I’m thinking about it. 3/4

Rated 10/10

This is sooo dreamy and soooo poppy....

Rated 4/10

First listen….

Followed on from Simon and Garfunkel on my list and the intro to Zebra is a perfect dovetail between the two albums decades apart.

Got a very traditional indie vibe. Nice, but not particularly attention grabbing so far.

2.5 - it’s ok. Don’t think I’ll be back again though. Maybe 2

Rated 8/10

𝘛𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘋𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮 is one of those albums that makes dream pop feel effortless. The songs drift along on warm organ tones, hazy guitars, and the deep, unmistakable voice of Victoria Legrand. Everything moves at an unhurried pace, creating a sound that feels both intimate and expansive at the same time.

What makes the album work so well is its consistency. Tracks like 𝗭𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮, 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝘆, and 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗹 all share the same dreamy atmosphere without ever becoming dull. Instead, the record feels like one long, glowing mood. It’s simple music in many ways, but the melodies and textures make it surprisingly immersive.

Rated 8/10

I love music that's so big it just wraps itself around you.

Rated 6/10

Nothing spectacular but definitely enjoyable.

Rated 4/10

More like a 2.75. I feel like this album really found its footing in the later half. Another one of those albums that you have to be in the right mood for. Also, another band where I could take a greatest hits album from them, but not individual albums. Well, with Bloom as an exception maybe.

Wie Honig in den Ohren

Rated 6/10

Pleasant dream pop. Beginning to sound dated

Rated 6/10

It reminds me a little of Arcade Fire. I do not like Arcade Fire.

Rated 6/10

this is the type of band to be in. just chill af

Rated 2/10

Classic Shoegaze. It is perfectly ignorable. There is literally no statement, no musical point of view, no reason for existing. Album cover is perfect … almost there but not really … if you take the time to look closer, you’ll just be disappointed.

Rated 6/10

Teen Dream is undeniably lush and beautiful. The textures are warm, the melodies drift pleasantly, and the whole album creates a soft, dreamlike atmosphere that’s easy to sink into. As mood music, it works very well. It’s calm, cohesive, and carefully constructed.
For me, though, it stays mostly on the surface. I enjoy having it on, but it doesn’t dig in emotionally or linger once it’s over. The hazy vocals and slow-moving arrangements blur together in a way that’s soothing rather than compelling. It feels designed to support a mood more than to demand attention.
I understand why this album means a lot to people, and I respect the craft behind it. It’s a record I could happily play in the background, but not one I feel drawn to sit with or return to intentionally. A solid three stars: lovely, immersive, and pleasant, but not something that deeply resonates with me.

Rated 10/10

Absolutely fantastic album - still distinctly remember first listening to it during an a level maths class. Close call between this and their next album, Bloom, for my favourite.

Rated 8/10

Teen Dream is definitely one of the most relaxing albums on this list. For some reason, when i first saw it, I thought that this album was gonna be shoegaze but since this album has practically zero distorted guitars or even anything resembling shoegaze, it isn't and is just a dream pop album. And that genre sure doesn't lie as this album sure was dreamy. The keyboards and the vocals especially gave that dream like vibe and i really liked that about this album. Granted, i don't get the album's full effect since i listened to this before work but i can still easily appreciate it. I was initially thinking of giving a high 3 stars but the later songs helped me push it to a 4.
Best Song: 10 Mile Stereo
Worst Song: Norway

Rated 6/10

I think I like the slow, liquidy jams here. Very chill, but also very easy to let this one drop into the background and not pay attention while it's playing.

Rated 10/10

Classic Beach House. Will I prefer the next album slightly more, this one is great as well. 4.5/5

Rated 6/10

Mellow but doesn’t stick with me for some reason
