Rated 6/10

Not the best punk album out there, but definitely a good one. It's an interesting band too.

Rated 8/10

40 minutes of very fun punk rock. The attitude is loose, but not the production or the performances, which are stellar. I look forward to looking further into this band- had no idea they were Scandinavian! Key track here was the immensely catchy "Zillion Dollar Sadist"

Rated 8/10

Hahaha this is the thrash garage punk album I never expected to enjoy! The lyrics are sophomoric and barely make sense at times. But the energy level never drops. It’s just stupid fun. The album should be a bit shorter, as it certainly sticks to one style throughout, but I can’t deny that it’s a bop.

Rated 4/10

An alright high energy rock album. Not sure why it's on here though, feels pretty average. 2*

Rated 4/10

It felt a bit cringey at points and the long guitar outros felt needlessly glammy. I didn't really enjoy it. I feel like the saving grace is tha tthis group avoided going with their first impulse for a band name...despite their anti-racist messaging it just feels like they kind of would suck to hang out with?

This is a pretty bizarre record really, tho it's superficially digestible. These Norwegians combine three basic aesthetics: American punk vis-a-vis the Ramones thru The Replacements, pop-rock a la Oasis, & dense hard rock via AC/DC. Turbonegro probably think of themselves as punk in essence - 'Gimme deathpunk baby, & I like it' - but they're basically just a rock band - 'That rock is such a gift so make it last.' I don't really go for the whole just-a-rock-band-vision, mostly b/c I don't know what rock music is at bottom, but that's what this is, for good & for bad. Not enuf variety here to keep me invested for nearly an hour, but it rocks out, & for that reason I can get down. I'd just take other rockin' albums over this, ahem, Definitely Maybe.

Rated 6/10

Entertaining but got a bit repetitive

Rated 10/10

I gotta say, i absolutely loved Apocalypse Dudes. For some reason this album is tagged on Wikipedia as glam rock (as is the band) and i just don't see it since despite having a cover of a glam rock song, this is full blown punk or death punk as they call it. And it sure is really great punk. The songs all have a very fast, frenetic energy to them which is perfect for a genre like this and makes all these songs fun to listen to. I also enjoy all the little touches in the songs that aren't super prevalent but still noticeable and fun to listen to. Also gotta love that a cover of Suffragette City is here since that is one of the best David Bowie tracks and it sounds great here. This album was just nothing but a really fun time.
Best Song: Are You Ready (For Some Darkness)
Worst Song: Humiliation Street

Rated 6/10

This was fun and loud, but not a repeat listen for me. The lyrics sound like someone that doesn't speak English as their primary language.

Rated 2/10

Was expecting some rhythm and blues, got some reet dull 90s rock. Ew. Not the one for me. Looked them up on Wikipedia and became more annoyed lol. Does not deserve to be on the list.

Rated 4/10

Give it up for another two-star punk album‼️‼️🔔🔔🔔
I swear there are nuggets of potential here in the form of headbanging rhythms and sick guitar shreds, but they're diluted to hell by the 50min runtime. I somehow made it to the end, but I was just about done with the album right around Rendezvous With Anus.

Standouts: Get It On • Humiliation Street

Rated 6/10

Eh, it was alright.

Rated 4/10

Fun to get to know this band and their weird sophomoric euro shit.

Rated 6/10

It’s pretty clear that you’re not supposed to take this music seriously. It’s just a bunch of Norwegian dudes making stupid punk rock music with pretty terrible lyrics. It was kind of fun, but I have no desire to listen to this again. Overall, I don’t hate it, but I definitely don’t love it either.

Rated 6/10

Fun glam punk that doesn't take itself too seriously - although they could have taken another leaf out of the Ramones book and kept it a bit shorter.

Rated 6/10

I should be all over a slab of Norwegian punk / hard rock which surely acted as a key influence towards the likes of Kvelertak; however, whilst I'm acutely aware of the unserious vibe they were going for here, this just felt a bit too silly.

Really daft, corny lyrics, over the top glam-esque flavourings, excessive swearing which blunts its impact and the production on this just sounds like absolute arse. If I want arse sounding production, I'll cut the middle man out and just listen to black metal.

Rated 6/10

𝘈𝘱𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘱𝘴𝘦 𝘋𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘴 delivers a loud, swaggering mix of glam, punk and hard-rock attitude, built around big riffs and an exaggerated sense of theatrical excess. The album has solid energy and a few catchy, over-the-top moments, but it doesn’t push far beyond its own formula. Once the initial shock-value humor and stylized bravado settle in, the songs start to feel interchangeable, relying more on attitude than strong writing. Entertaining in bursts, but nothing particularly striking or memorable.

Rated 6/10

In a way, it sounds older than it is, but not that bad. The lyrics though, they are just soooo stupid and hilarious somehow. That's what we were saying and laughing in 5th grade.
