I didn't enjoy this at all. I'm not sure how so many bands I like can cite it as an influence.
Rated 4/10
There are some OK moments in the back half of the album, and no one can say it isn't creative, but not every musical idea needs to be recorded. However, if you enjoy mooing sounds, fire kazoo, and grade-school level recorder, this album is for you.
Rated 6/10
not an album id want to put on again but i didnt hate it. it had a lot of interesting things going on
Rated 10/10
Magical mystical fonky weirdness. I am entirely approving and enjoyed it. God it's nice to hear some people try and do something that sounds like nothing else I can pin down. :)
Rated 10/10
why is this rated so low it's literally fine, do you people just not like anything that's not the beatles or what's up with that???

Nee dus. Het kan altijd erger!

Weird Folk. Nice!
Rated 2/10
This was horrible. Diddling and unstructured nonsense with weak vocals and uninteresting songs. To top it off it was much longer than it deserved to be. One of the worst albums I've heard on here. 1/5

The drugs that created this no longer exist to make it palpable to the ear in this century.
Rated 4/10
This album reminds me of ending up at an after party full of pretentious drugged up wankers with acoustic guitars playing weird music that I just don’t understand. I’m glad when it’s time to leave.
Rated 2/10
Well that was obnoxious. It’s like a group of strangers was given a bunch of random instruments and drugs and told to write an album. They made an album I guess, but it was a meandering mess. Like were they dared to cram as many random instruments onto this as possible? I’m worse for having heard this.
Rated 6/10
SO first off when I glanced at the musician I thought it said string cheese incident. Needless to say I was going to quit this list if that was true, so anything is a relief. That being said, this album is UN-listenable. It's just a group of people drugged out of their mind making noise. But that being said, I'm happy this album exists and is definitely of an era. I'll give it a 3.

This is pretty good!
Rated 10/10
This is so fun and goofy! I love how they just randomly throw every single instrument they can in at random intervals just to be silly. Doing that in a way that still manages to keep a cohesive album is insanely impressive. The core folk backing here has to be very strong to hold it all together and it does.

So silly. I love these hippies.
Rated 4/10
Somehow the album is funny. The music fits the cover very well. A confused extended family crawls out of the forest and plays at a medieval festival. The vocals are not bad at all. The whole arrangement seems very amateurish and sounds thin. In fact, some of the harmonies remind me of the psychedelic passages and experimentation of some of the real greats of the time. Nevertheless, after playing a few tracks, I had had enough of the bumbling.

I concur with the majority of other reviewers here. This is dreadful hippy shite. What is going on with those vocals on "Three is a Green Crown"?
Rated 6/10
Psychedelia mixed with Celtic folk melodies Medieval and Middle Eastern arrangements plus quite some Asian instruments.
It's a landmark in psychedelic folk music and influential for years to come. It might not be the best album of all time, but it's intriguing and I'm glad to have listened to it.

I love this kind of thing—psychedelic, bizarre, folky, funny. I enjoyed their use of unconventional song structure and ethno-folk traditions (really working the WEFT in there before it was chic).
Some of the material ran on for too long or felt rather made up on the spot, but as far as creating something unique and experimental, and evidently influential, it earns the 4 stars.

Tulee mieleen Wicker Manin soundtrack. Kolmosen ja nelosan välillä keikun.
