Best experienced walking through a city in the early morning when it's still dark. Pure vibes.

Rated 10/10

excellent eletcro stuff as usual

3.5 stars.

Enjoyed this a lot. Not much stood out for me but it had great sounds, good beats, fun and energetic and good for working along to. Would happily listen again.

At the supermarket, there is one aisle I never go down. It has the dog food and the baby food - admittedly a strange pairing - but since I don’t own either, I don’t visit. Plus, it smells unclean.
Listening to this album is like walking down that aisle. There is nothing there I want or need - everything they have here is for made for others. I understand what it is and what it’s there for, but I don’t have any use for it.
This project is clarifying that there are so many styles of music out there and I simply don’t give two shits about some of them. This is one of those.

Soooooooooo gooooooood!!!!!!!

Haven't listened to this one in a while. It's great but not as great as Dig Your Own Hole. I absolutely love the first and last song, but find the bits in the middle hit and miss.

Just noise. Washing over me without any real engagement tbh.

Rated 4/10

you're telling me they have 2 albums on the list and Mariah Carey can only get 1?

Rated 6/10

It takes a great song to get me excited about ED music. Personally I didn’t find any on this album. Hard to rate cause I’m just not into this genre.

Rated 6/10

Their later stuff is definitely better

Rated 10/10

Fun sound makes you groove

This was ok. I liked the beats but they got a bit repetitive

It did pass the time while I was painting furniture though so 🤷🏻‍♀️

solidno i ugodno za pozadinu, ne smeta, nije moj đir, al ničim me ne vrijeđa, neki momenti fora

Having moved on from the Dust Bros, the Chemical Bros are still trusters of dust, as they clarify on the second track of this record. In reality, however, they're closer to something alchemical: their genius is sample-based and organized around making the big breakbeat even bigger than it is. Before Fatboy, Daft Punk, etc., the duo from Manchester, much like Philip Glass in the realm of European forms, alchemized the repetitive into something less redundant than a whole lot of apparently variegated popular music. +, as the cover-art couple distills - a couple that brings to mind Dylan and Suze Rotolo on Freewheelin' - there's something so 90s-optimistic about this LP that it's as if The Stone Roses' up-for-whatever slant is tautened + purified.

This kind of techno industrial was never my deal.

Rated 8/10

Not quite The Chemical Brothers' strongest offering, but a mightily impressive debut album wherein the group didn't wait around to firmly cast their imprint into the UK electronic music scene, and many acts have since borrowed its nuances, ensuring that it retains a significant legacy befitting of this list.

Of their discography, this album does perhaps sound the most applicable to the mid 90s era, with a somewhat dated sheen to it, although not one which compromised my enjoyment whilst revisiting today.

First half is like DJ set, second is more spaced out. Loved this.

Rated 6/10

Hadn’t heard this one before but was quite familiar with the follow-up having owned a copy around the time of its release. I think this one is comparable to the other, though maybe slightly less interesting without the big time features.

Rated 4/10

Honestly, I like both electronic music and trip hop and this album doesn't scratch either itch. Some interesting moments at the beginning and end of the album but otherwise pretty lacking. 2/5

Rated 4/10

First few tracks are ok then it starts getting boring. They seemed to only have a few ideas.
