Hendrix ist technisch begabt, aber sein Musik overrated, fight me
Rated 10/10
It's easy to dismiss Hendrix as a virtuoso guitarist, but this album proves there's so much more to him; it gets into Jimi's head and he gets into yours via stereoscopic effects and mega riffs. Almost auteur-like in its ability to take the album form and expand it beyond its limits.
Rated 8/10
Really liked this one, first time hearing it (other than Little Wing) and came away feeling very positive about it both individually and as a big piece - I think the opener ties things together thematically and it's both very listenable and challenging in places.
Rated 6/10
Good slbum for a sunny spring morning. I’ve never listened to a Hendrix studio album before and enjoyed the Experience
Rated 6/10
I had absolutely no idea what to expect from this, but I enjoyed it far more than I ever would have thought. It is something I'll listen to again.

dosta dobro. u zadnje vrijeme samo šibam trojke, ovome bih i dao četvorku jer me nije razočaralo, iako ne znam hoću li slušati opet (možda pjesmu you've got me floating)

Axis: Bold As Love was definitely a really good album. Since Jimi Hendrix mainly does psych-rock, the songs here all have that psych-rock vibe to them. It is, of course, a style i do have a soft spot for especially when it is combined with hard rock. This album is very trippy as you would expect from a psych-rock album but also is very groovy and pretty easy to get into. This album does take a while to get going but when it does, it really does. I also like this album more than Electric Ladyland since it is just far more accessible than that album ever was even with this one's quirks. This album is certainly a great one that i absolutely think deserves a spot on this list.
Best Song: Little Wing
Worst Song: Exp

Such an underrated Jimi album. Not much in the way of singles that get airplay on the one for some reason, but that means you can jump in and almost hear it like new if you not familiar with it.
Rated 6/10
Little Wing stops me dead in my tracks every time I hear it, whether it's Jimi's version or SRV's. Such a beautiful song, which really should be at least 50% longer.
There is a lot on this album I like, but there is just enough "filler" and weird shit (Exp) for me to not be able to rate this album four stars. 3.99

Horrible screeching in the first song is time I will never get back.
Rated 6/10
I know Jimi Hendrix is, like, a big deal, but even though this is from the 60s, it sounds like the 70s to me (full offense). Nothing particularly unpleasant, surely better than yesterday's weird electro instrumental, but for me this was just OK.
highlights: 'Wait Until Tomorrow', 'You Got Me Floatin'', 'She's so Fine' (idk why a British man is randomly singing this one, but I was like a baby doing one of those phonology experiments where they put in a distractor sound. my head was turnt!)
Rated 8/10
I think I like this one more than Electric Ladyland, and while I don't know how controversial that is, I quite enjoy how compact yet thoroughly enjoyable this album is. The guitar playing is raw and powerful, but feels like it is keeping up appearances just enough to be groundbreaking instrumentally, and this album does a fantastic job showing off Hendrix's tapents without sacrificing the audiences attention. I think the only flaw is that some of the tracks fall a little too much into the late 60s stereotype, and so the vocal heavy tracks can feel a bit dated, but this is still an excellent rock record, perhaps the best instrumentally for the time that I've heard, but that was to be expected with Hendrix at the helm.

Almost every song is a pleasantly groovy experience. There might not be anything iconic on here, but it's still that amazing Jimi sound. I was put on a great trip that was tragically cut short after 38 minutes.
Rated 8/10
It's nearly impossible to follow up an album like Are You Experienced, but this album does an admirable job. I enjoy the expanded sonic palate and some of the songs here are absolute rippers.
Rated 6/10
It’s not clear to me, beyond the notable commercial hits, what there is to value in Hendrix’s catalog. The rhythm and melodies are too busy and unimaginative. They become repetitive. There’s a real lack of creative breadth there. I’m just not impressed
Rated 10/10
I don’t love it/it doesn’t mean as much to me as the debut, but I still absolutely love it. Jimi was the goddamn coolest.

Probably the pinnacle of studio album psychedelia. A couple of filler tracks, but the highs on this are so high. If you play guitar there's a 95% chance you've spent hours deconstructing and trying to master the stuff he's going here. The gorgeous chord extension playing on Little Wing & castles made of sand which is just probably as good as anyone will ever make a guitar sound, the emotive blues based playing on Axis, the fuzzed out wah rock of Spanish castle magic, the way he combines rhythm and lead playing on wait till tomorrow and so many others, the explosive funk of little miss lover, the panning reverse and swirling effects he plays with, the double-stops all over the place. His voice is great too, tender and warm, open and vulnerable, especially in comparison to the swaggering charisma of his other albums.
Rated 6/10
Kinda overrated. 3.0
Rated 10/10
The Experience were the perfect trio. Hendrix and Mitchell matched each other for fancyness and Redding kept it simple and anchored it.
