Neil Young joining the trio is one music's luckiest collaborations. Brilliantly stacked harmonies on every song. Perfect blend of electric over acoustic. Deja Vu is just a priceless record with every track consistently banging in lyrics, balance of guitars, sonic textures with the acoustics, the list goes on. The 70s brought the technology to perfect the ideas of the 60s, and right out the gate Deja Vu blends folk with hard rock, combining some of rocks best voices together to make a short and sweet record. I only wish it was longer.

FINALLY one of my favorite albums by one of my favorite groups ever. One of my fondest memories is buying a CSNY cd at Best Buy on my 18th birthday and listening to it for the first time on a road trip and I’ve loved them ever since. Beautiful harmonies, which I’m a sucker for. Fantastic beginning to end.

For a super group it didn't sound that interesting. Best as half decent background music.

Inconsistent, which I guess could be expected in the first album to incorporate Young to the CS&N family. A bit hippy-dippy in places, at other spots it rocks pretty well, but overall not really my jam. Graham Nash's songs seem to be the ones that don't gel the most with me, whereas Young's 'Helpless' is a fine tune.

Almost cut my hair, super glad I didn't

Real watershed moment for sad dads

Fantastic! Flowed really well and was thoroughly enjoyable. 5/5

No, I didn't like this album either. Maybe it's just my mood right now, but after the first few tracks, I didn't feel like listening to the rest of the album. 2/5

What do I have to do to get leas Crosby and Stills- hell at least I got Young.
Neil’s dirtiness is the entire key and none of these guy should have made music without him- except maybe Nash.
Rated 10/10
The greatest moments of one of the most iconic supergroups in music history. It really does shine and showcase each of their strengths individually.

Very wide ranging, somewhat too much? Individually the songs are amazing, but there doesn't feel like a solid connection between them.
Rated 6/10
The first album was all dreamy harmonies and beautiful tunes.
Then along comes Neil Young and puts some grit and grunge in.
You know lots of these tunes already. It can get a bit summer of love and love is the answer, but that grit does its job.
And Helpless really is one of the best songs ever written.

Liked it, not every song worked for me but most did
Rated 8/10
Very solid album from CSNY

I already love the vibe from the moment the first song starts. It’s so chill! The kind of music to just kick back to.

Pretty boring. It's folk rock but like not in an interesting way.

Good solid classics on this album, nothing I feel particularly passionate about.

This is probably the ultimate folk-rock album. Crosby, Stills, Nash (& Young)’s debut was already a massive success, but “Déjà Vu” surpasses it once again, at least in terms of sales and impact. With the addition of Neil Young and his rock-oriented guitar, the album became significantly more folkROCK than its predecessor, though the quartet managed to strike a balance between ballads, folk songs, protest songs and rock songs. The characteristic harmonies of the core trio (supplemented here and there by Neil Young’s falsetto) dominate the sound. A true classic of the genre and of rock history in general.

Mixed bag, but overall a good bag. The parts where it was just Neil Young on the mic were the best (coz he's obviously got a proper standout voice). Helpless was a standout, alongside Woodstock by Joni which I didn't know was on this. Songs varied in quality but were never awful. Nice!
