Madlib's beats are fire as always. Freddie is an amazing rapper as well. I just find his lyrics really trite with all the "bitches and hoes" and "I do so many drugs" crap. It's just such a cliche.

Love this style of music but this guy is just still very young and amateurish. He's got the chops and hopefully with some practice he can tune his songwriting into something solid.

Interesting to choose this over Lateralus but I digress. This album is still great as you'd expect from a Tool album. It's definitely more raw which is a nice contrast to their later material.

Wow this is really annoying sounding and the album cover is creepy and off-putting. Not into it at all.

I prefer Tommy but this one is really great too. I appreciate the increased focus on samples and synths.

One of my favorite rap concept albums of all time. The lyrics are witty but also deep and the beats are super fun and cohesive. Straight fire.

I'm a casual R.E.M. enjoyer but my friend turned me onto this album and it's pretty great. Very catchy and the vocals are super powerful.

She has a really great voice. It's interesting to see that she's worked with several other artists I already knew. I love Anohni and the Johnsons in particular.

Fun party music. I'm not usually in a situation where this is the right vibe but I could totally see it hitting at a big party. It's got some fun variety with all the guest features.

One of my favorite albums of all time. It’s so emotionally powerful. It’s beautiful, yet bleak at the same time. The opening monologue haunts me.

The lyrics have that typical 80s cheesiness but the riffs make up for it by generally going super hard.

Insanely good Australian punk. I swear there's something in the water down there because their music scene is insane. This album rips from start to finish.

Not my usual thing at all but it avoids most of the worst pitfalls that usually turn me off of the genre (over the top accents, cheesy cliche lyrics). I wouldn't seek it out but I wouldn't complain about it being on.

I listened to them some when I was really little. I still have a tiny bit of nostalgia for them, especially some of the bigger hits like If I had $1,000,000 and One Week. Other than that though I think it hasn't aged super great. It's just very corny and inoffensive.

So nostalgic yet new at the same time. The songwriting throughout is just fantastic.

Pretty interesting story behind it which definitely elevates the album. The recording sounds like absolute crap but maybe that's part of the appeal.
