Festival EDM like this just really isn't my bag, but I can appreciate how someone would enjoy it, especially at a big music festival on some helpful substances. Listening to the album on headphones though just doesn't do anything for me.

A titan of the emo genre. This 100% deserves to be on the base list. It still hits so hard to this day.

This is wildly forward thinking for an album from 1970. I love prog and psych rock so the mixture was a slam dunk for me. I’ll definitely give this one more listens.

Another banger from Porcupine Tree. This one is a bit more straightforward than some of their earlier stuff but I still really enjoy it. It showcases their core songwriting really well.
Rated 6/10
I enjoyed seeing a genre I love like nu metal mixed with Indian culture. It was a fun listen but overall didn't bring enough new to the table to cause me to become a fan I'd say.

I haven't thought about Final Fantasy in a hot minute. I was a big fan back in the day and after listening to this I think it's really held up well. The violin is gorgeous.
Rated 6/10
It's fun to see the mix of very British sounding pop rock with Spanish language and flair. I don't know if I'll come back to it but I had fun while listening.
Rated 4/10
Kinda standard fair alt rock. It's inoffensive but I fail to see how it's a must-listen at all.
Rated 8/10
Really fun and catchy 90s power pop. I haven't listened to them as much as I should.
Rated 10/10
Queen doesn't miss honestly. One of the GOATs.
Rated 6/10
Fun alt rock that had some good bangers, but doesn't really do anything novel at all.
Rated 8/10
It's definitely a life goal of mine to listen to this on 4 turntables as intended. Hopefully someday. Listening at home in normal stereo though, it's still a very fun album as you'd expect from The Flaming Lips. Not their best but super solid.
Rated 6/10
Enjoyable and chill. I think I'd probably appreciate it more if I could understand the lyrics, especially since it's so vocals-forward.
Rated 6/10
I love Depeche Mode but this is not the album I would've added to this list at all. How are you gonna pick this over Black Celebration? Or Exciter? Or Playing the Angel? That said, it's still a fun album if a bit dated sounding.
Rated 2/10
Boring Grammy bait.
Rated 6/10
I like his work with Moldy Peaches but this is just a bit corny especially with the Wurlitzer featured so prominently. The lyrics are pretty well-written though.
Rated 6/10
I listened to some of Sampha's earlier stuff but not this one. It's fun. He has a good voice and the laid back instrumentals complement it well. It's doesn't really do anything super original or notable though.
This guy is just so damn corny, and not in a fun way. I can't take it seriously at all.

He’s going the distance! He’s going for speed! This album freaking rules and deserves to be on the official list. It’s so catchy and unique.
Rated 2/10
I can't stand her or her music.
