I like where Leonard is coming from and he can turn a phrase but this album was one song over and over.

I always felt like the stones were over-emulating blues to the point of making a bit of a joke of it. Like, their fans weren't in on the joke. I will say there's some great tracks on here but I can't shake the feeling and I have definitely listened to some stones as my close friend has ever been a massive fan.

There isn't much ceremony I stand on in this world but The Wall being a fairly perfect concept album is on item.

Great punk album that felt ahead of its time.

Had a few really nice tubes on it. I meant to type tunes but I'm going to leave that. They're nice tubes and I enjoyed them. I've never been a rock opera guy. I am a punk fan. I'm conflicted.
I...what...is our time a joke to you guys?
Ella is amazing though.

I like leonard cohens song here.

Felt a little like the beach boys.

I do understand the fuss around Radiohead and I adore a few of their songs but, in general, I find it a chore to listen to their entire albums. I'm not sure what animates folks to proclaim them as complete works of genius and I don't know that I can disagree. I, for one, feel great love for The Wall by Pink Floyd and, clearly, that album is regarded as garbage by some folks.
This is a very well made album that simply rubs *me* the wrong way. I can't engage with it but I can't say critically bad things about it. It's just too well made.
The things I don't care for are merely characteristics which describe it and aren't faults. It drones. It uses lyrical motif to express emotion. Thom's voice is often fragile. The instrumentation is lush to the point of muddiness in spots. In others quite lonely.
If I were to be overly critical it would hold about as much weight as saying that I don't care for blue automobiles. That is a me problem.
This is a great album I don't like. Stepping back from my own taste and trying to appreciate what it does with the palette it is restricting itself to it is a 4 of 5. It may not be perfect but it is a fine representative of its ilk.

I dislike Oasis profoundly. This has the same sort of needless self-affirming swagger, but, at least the music is marginally better. I find it sort of dick-less and and I feel like the album cover art sums up what is inside the tin. \

Boss is a highlight track for me but the whole album is really good.
Rated 6/10
It's a classic.
Rated 10/10
Just as an album it probably isn't perfect but as an album in its era it's basically perfect. It sets a precedent early and delivers through every track. No boring moments as far as I'm concerned.
Rated 4/10
I've never understood the broad appeal though I have to admit they have a few catchy pop songs that rival the Beatles they were aping. This was a lot of a thing I don't love in one helping.
Rated 6/10
Kind of a fun listen.

This was the first truly weird album I ever heard or owned. It holds a soft spot for me. That's said it's annoying crap that I have a soft spot for. I'll listen to it again.
Quite enjoyable punk romp.
Rated 6/10
I had lots of friends who were into these guys when this was contemporary. Never really moved me the same way but it's a good enough album.

Quite talented wall of sound stuff. A bit up its own ass.
Rated 4/10
It felt a bit cringey at points and the long guitar outros felt needlessly glammy. I didn't really enjoy it. I feel like the saving grace is tha tthis group avoided going with their first impulse for a band name...despite their anti-racist messaging it just feels like they kind of would suck to hang out with?
