Today's album is a weird one. I don't necessarily hate it, but don't know how I feel about it. It's like art pop mixed with trip hop and R&B. Kinda quirky like Bjork or Kate Bush, but more modern. More electronic influences, and you can tell that the music is more manufactured by laptops than created using instruments, which is a sound that I really have a problem with.

Any cock weasel can stand behind a computer and press buttons, but it takes real talent to literally play those sounds using musical instruments. But irregardless of all that, she does have a beautiful voice.

When the fuck did people forget how to name a band ffs.... All new bands these days have random capital letters, random spelling mistakes, and usually the word Lil in their name. Like.... Hey guys, my name is Lil MSHRUM cOk.... Listen to my shitty music please..... Fuck off. I looked up artists similar to her to see if any familiar artists were listed.... Nope. A bunch of weird random named "artists". Doechii..... Sevdaliza....Tinashe! 333...... Eco2k....... Wtf kinda names are these?!? I'm so out of my element. I really don't like modern pop.

Favourite songs: Give Up, Kicks, Lights On

Least favourite songs:... I didn't necessarily hate, but didn't care for most of this album. I can't really pick a Least favourite song because the whole record kind of ran together and I couldn't really focus on any of it.

More obscure British horseshit. Nothing too exciting about this album. Another post punk/industrial rock record.

Favourite songs: Wardance, The Wait, Requiem

Least favourite songs: Tomorrow's World, S.O.36, Change

Steve Winwood's band. Psychadelic folk. Like The Doors lite. With a ton of organ work throughout. Not a bad album, but nothing to get too excited about.

Favourite songs: John Barleycorn, Empty Pages, Freedom Rider

Sounds like 80's-90's tv show theme song music. There's definate talent here, it is surprisingly funky by times, but it's also so... White. Like a shittier Duran Duran. Super boring in large doses.

Favourite songs: Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl), Calling Captain Autumn, Marine Boy, Milk Film, Kingsize (You're My Little Steam Whistle), Suprise Me Again

Least favourite songs: Love's Got Me in Triangles

I had a really hard time getting through today's album. Not because I dislike heavy metal, because it is one of my favourite genres of music. I just have a really hard time seeing the appeal of thrash metal in particular. This may be an unpopular opinion, but most of the thrash "greats" (Megadeth, Anthrax, Sodom, Pantera, Slayer) I just really don't like. I think it's because they distort their music so bad, and just wail on their instruments. None of it is really founded in musical theory, it just ends up being convoluted noise. And Phil Anselmo's incessant shouting doesn't help anything. The only thrash artists I like are Metallica (they made 2 of the best thrash albums ever, then changed their sound), and Sepultura.

This was such a boring album, I just kept losing interest in the music and found myself drifting off a lot. This led to me having to restart songs quite a few times to really give my honest opinion on them. I think I lost interest so much because there was no flow to the music. It was just instrument abuse and shouting.

I really hate thrash metal, and I'm glad that album is done.

Favourite songs: This Love, Fucking Hostile, Walk

Least favourite songs:... Most of the album.... One song ran into another in a drone of noise and distortion, so I couldn't tell you which song I hated most. Just.... All of it..... I suppose.

2/5 (mostly because of This Love and Walk)

Nothing to spectacular here. It leans neither to the folk or the psychadelic side of the spectrum. It just hangs out kind of in the middle, and leaves you wishing he would have just picked one of the two genres and did it really well instead of this mish mash of average musicianship.

I've noticed that dude loves singing about birds. I've counted at least 3 unrelated instances so far of nods to seagulls. Plus there is a song about Kingfishers, and he sings about ravens. Dude is a closet ornithologist. He's one species away from bird bingo, lol.

Overall, aside from Season of the Witch, there isn't really much worth writing home about on this album.

Favourite songs: Season of the Witch, Sunshine Superman, Three King Fishers, Guinevere

Least favourite songs: Bert's Blues

An absolute classic!

Favourite songs: Traveling Man, Coat of Many Colors, My Blue Tears, If I Lose My Mind, She Never Met a Man (She Didn't Like), Here I Am, A Better Place to Live

Least favourite songs: The Mystery of the Mystery

Today's album is like garage rock, or garage punk. The fact that these guys are Swedish blows my mind. Sounds so American.... If that makes sense. And in typical punk style, the album consists of 12 songs, and is done in 28 minutes. I remember the song Main Offender from the video game Rock Band.

Favourite songs: Hate to Say I Told You So, A.K.A. I-D-I-O-T, Outsmarted, Main Offender, "Die, All Right!", Untutored Youth, Here We Go Again, Hail Hail Spit N' Drool

Least favourite songs: Supply and Demand

The funny thing about this record is that, although labeled as having taken place at the Royal Albert Hall in London, it was actually recorded at a concert at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester. Apparently it was a mislabeled bootleg that had been released, so when the record label released it as an album, they kept the Royal Albert Hall name. It's a double album. Disc 1 was an acoustic set that Dylan did, Disc 2 was an "electric" set played with his band, The Hawks.
I had a hard time getting through this double record. I love Dylan's music, but can only take his voice in small doses. My fuck he has an irritatingly nasally voice, and live is worse, because there is no vocal editing that has taken place.

It was hard to rate this record because he has a run of insufferable moaning, followed by an absolute banger like Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat. I enjoyed the electric set much more than the acoustic one.

Favourite songs: Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat, Mr. Tambourine Man, Desolation Row, Like a Rolling Stone, Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues, "Baby, Let Me Follow You Down", One Too Many Mornings, Fourth Time Around, Visions of Johanna, "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue"

Least favourite songs: She Belongs to Me, I Don't Believe You (She Acts Like We Never Have Met)
