Damn, American Teenager has a few bars. These lyrics have some edge on Western nights. The music feels more like a place setting for the lyrics, sort of platforms or backgrounds. Wow I am so invested in this, Family Tree is such a haunting story. Thoroughfare has some of the most emotionally expressive poetry I have heard in a long time. but the turn into Gibson Girl is totally chilling, made even more shocking by the song preceding it. Jesus and then Ptolemaea is even more terrifying, but the lyrics are super washy sounding and really buried into the landscape. That shit was crazy! will need a relisten.

What a cool little goofy dark album. So Many People In The Neighborhood is fun. Dude what the heck? this thing has songs that come out of nowhere like Hey There Fancypants. Also holy shit the guitar on that track. Goddamn what an ending.

A really sick album with a dog of a movie attached to it. The Grid, Arena, and even the Overture are really good. End of the Line is a banger. Derezzed Is the best track on the thing by a yard and a half. At just shy of an hour, it starts to lose some steam in the back half, but a rock solid ambient sci-fi film score.

I mean cool ambient album but when is an ambient album not a space filler? its like being very proud of your tap water. Like sure its great when i compare the tap water but its not the most interesting thing that can be done here.

Somebody To Love a perennial classic. Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy another one. Queen really shines best when they lean into the opera fusion, the straight ahead blues rock just doesn't show why they were special. Yea side 2 is what carries this record, side 1 just doesn't have the staying power.

a nostalgic electronica sensibility of the early teens. I think a lot of the album doesn't quite feel like its using Gaga to the best of her ability. there are a lot of effects in here that sound like auto tuned squeaking doors. Dope is okay. Gypsy finds its footing. and Applause is a stadium shaker. very uneven album, and it is a long slog to the end but there is a reward at the end.
