To me this is the mount Rushmore of the music, simply breathtaking and beautiful in every conceivable way. One of Miles masterpieces and this one is probably my favourite, one of the first works of jazz fusion, an album I just never get tired listening to as you always notice something new, of course it's 5 stars and even that doesn't do this beauty a justice!

Reviewing and listening to this on the 5th of September.
In my opinion this is a prime example of how great popular music can be. This is beautiful stuff, interesting, well mixed and with something to say. Easy 4 stars for me, it lacks something a little bit I can't put in words to reach 5 stars, however I'm thinking 4.5 on RYM easily.

Hey, this is quite deeeeceent!! I love her vocals and can absolutely smell the connection to the Pixies which is superb. Would lean towards 4 starts, however unlike Pixies debut, I am not hearing much in terms of really memorable writing and moments, but absolutely strong 3 stars, but I'm only halfway through.

Very very pleasantly surprised by this - sludgy, noisy, avant-garde punk fest. Very unique stuff indeed, maybe not for everyone, but I could not care less. At least 3 stars with real possibility of revisiting these butthole guys haha. Good find

I don't hate her or anything like that at all and I think she has great pipes, however... This was such a overproduced slop that I couldn't even finish it, boring through and through, I just don't see any merit here at all, it's just so so dull. Initially I thought surely she can get 2 starts, but nah..

2026-08-31. I went into this with a bit of an unfair prejudice, expected less but after all I am indeed pleasantly surprised. This is quite a multilayered affair. Despite this, I haven't had time during my holiday to listen to this fully so I won't be rating this work yet!
2026-09-07: Finally, yes - I get it. This is indeed a great album where almost every song is like it's own world, caputed in vignette. Just makes me a bit sad to think how many albums I might have "missed" by my usual routine of listening to the album in the morning and rating it later on during the day as some works just have to grow on you. So this is easy 4 stars and probably 4.5 on RYM. 2nd half maybe not as strong so doesn't quite reach the top mark, but it's great!

Ok, here we go, this is the first entry for me from these guys on the list. So Pet Shop Boys is one of those acts I feel pretty neutral about- I am not crazy about them but don't dislike them either. A few tracks in and surprised how atmospheric and mellow this sounds, very enjoyable so far and easy 3 stars if it keeps on like this. Ok so def 3.5 on RYM and I might want to revisit these guys

Listening on the 7th of Sept, 2026.
This is almost exactly what I would have expected Beck to sound like, very 90s indeed. Really quite enjoyable too and probably slightly better than the other album I got from him. Still for sure 3 stars, lacking something something to go higher for me. Honestly listening to this I am really enjoying it, at least 3.5 on RYM and I will want to REVISIT this album.

Stuff of legenda right there, top notch rapping talent and I really like half the songs, but as someone said, life imitates art and vice versa and perhaps it's no wonder he ended up the way he did.. lyrically though this can be absolutely horrible, but no one can deny Biggie's prowess, at least 4 stars

Quite fun underground hip-hop album with a few highlights but sadly besides that it is a bit outdated and a bit boring as well. Right in the middle once again with 3 stars.
Dolly Parton passed away yesterday, may she rest in peace. I am not familiar with other two people on this collaboration, however ot was quite enjoyable listen, Dolly sounds great as always. Some really nice moments and couple of really good tracks, however most of it felt fairly bland so probably strong 3 stars, at least 3.5 RYM

Ah, what a treat this morning and a perfect album to start my holiday! ELO basically synthesized symphonic rock sound and made it sound so easy. This is super enjoyable, great, fun album, it is a bit long though, drags a bit so at most 4 stars. Clearly highly influences by The Beatles, and they, themselves have stated if they haven't separated they would sound like ELO, so this is not too surprising at all, great stuff all in all.

2nd album from the great Willie Nelson on this list for me. Still enjoyable and still good, however this has quite a few covers and less of a original material, so not sure if this is as good as the one I got before. Despite all of that I can see this reaching 4 stars, def 3.5 on RYM

Ok, this is pretty clear cut - dead average rock album with no innovation and infantile lyrics. Norway actually contributed some interesting things in music and yet the authors of the list choose something which just sounds American, very disappointing indeed. This is between 2 and 3 stars, with 2.5 on RYM

Groundbreaking, beautiful, fun album. Still so glad I have discovered those early solo Eno albums of the 70s, way ahead of their time and fresh as ever for me - easy 5 stars of course.
Only starting to listen to Boss late in the afternoon today - a massive stress at work and loads of issues, sorry Mr. Boss! I guess I could go for 4, but seems a bit too generous, what I can remember from this album is only the opener and the closer tracks! Everything else blanked for me in between, so I will relisten another time before reaching my final verdict, but I do love a bit of Boss, this is very enjoyable indeed.

Another day, antoer fairly average or even below average album. TO be honest her voice is very nice, mix is warm and well done however music is quite boring, but might still reach 3 stars, cause its not bad either! On further listening I am quite enjoying this, especially apparent are the old delta style blues influence here which I really appreciate so for sure at least 3 stars. Perhaps even an artist to REVISIT?

Kind of surprising to see this relatively obscure glam "metal" offering, I have to say I wasn't aware these guys were from finland but that's about the only intreresting thing here I'm afraid. The music is kind of mid by itself, I have heard better glam metal bands. Can't imagine anymore than 3 stars and I am being generous once again. Rated 2.5 on RYM, dead average really.
