Sooo many hits on this album. I enjoyed this as a whole much more than a lot of other powerhouse pop albums from the 80s that have appeared on this list. It's not perfect all the way through but it's pretty great.

Some of it is very good, but I don't want to reward it because it didn't need to exist. I love Brian, but he should've just left the project alone.

Hey I usually really love dumb boomer shit, but I just can't with this. (That being said, I'm pretty impressed by the bass groove dude was laying down around minute 13 of the title track.)

Cheap Trick is fun. I like power pop. Was really predisposed to like this, but I didn't really. I really don't care for the live recording at all. Would rather just listen to a proper album.

I hate to be that guy, but it's got the three good songs and then not much else going on. Would've thought this had a three written all over it, but the second side is pretty brutal.

Rated 8/10

This is kinda hard because I love Lou and I love almost every song on this album. But there's also just a little bit of weird fuckery happening on here that just feels like fuckery for fuckery's sake. Like there appears to be a satirical point of view but it doesn't hit. Still, this thing has "Vicious," "Wild Side," "Satellite of Love," "Hangin' Round," "Perfect Day," etc. etc. Great record.

The guitars are so fucking good on this record that every time there's a string-y ballad it feels like they're taking their foot off the gas. I'm glad we get a Joe Walsh vocal, but "Prairie Girls" ain't it. Still, for the most part, this is a fucking great rock record to listen to at maximum volume. Looking forward to reading all the Lebowski references in the reviews!
