I gave other Kanye albums two stars largely because of inconsistency, but this is pretty great end to end. I especially liked Power, with the King Crimson sample

The Sage was ok, but the rest was pretty dreadful. Marginally better than Tarkus, but not much.
Rated 6/10
Pretty good, and I like Sinatra's voice, but I'm not sure he actually adds a whole lot to these songs.

I liked this a lot more than I was expecting to. As is often the case, the misogyny and skits drag it down, but the beats are really good and when Snoop is guesting, he sounds great.

Within 4 bars of "Streets Of Your Town" starting I could tell it was the single; same for "Was There Anything I Could Do?". They're clearly better than anything else on the album, most of which is a bit run of the mill.
Rated 6/10
I think I liked this more than Heroes to Zeros. There are some good moments on here; I liked Quiet a fair bit. But that sample/quote of Daydream in Squares is practically a cover version, and serves to remind that the original is at least as good, if not better.

Despite being a huge fan of Dummy, I had not (somewhat surprisingly) listened to this before. It's quite different from Dummy, but amazing in its own right. Among other highlights i really liked the moment about half way through The Rip when the arpeggiated synth comes in. I feel like I might listen to this album obsessively over the next week or so.

I played this quite a lot when it came out (or thereabouts), but then significantly went off it later. Listening now after a long gap, its somewhere in the middle. I quite like the guitar sounds in Forest Fire. But Cole's voice is a little affected.
Rated 6/10
I didn't dislike this; Everybody's Talkin' is a good song, even if the Nilsson version is better. And the bouzouki added a nice touch in a few tracks. But Neil's voice is a little too smooth for me. Low three.
Rated 8/10
Opening track is great! The rest was pretty good too, but nothing grabbed me quite as much as Freak Scene. Overall though, just sneaks into a four for me.
Rated 6/10
This wasn't what I was expecting, and I don't think I'd have sought out an album of Willie Nelson covering a bunch of standards, but you know, I didn't dislike it. Mainly carried by Nelson's voice, which I find pleasant to listen to.
Rated 4/10
I remember reasonably enjoying the followup to this album 20 years ago(!), so I thought I'd like this, but ultimately I found it all a bit empty feeling.
Rated 6/10
The band is super tight, and King's guitar and voice sound excellent, but there were at least a couple of places on this album where it transitioned from one song to another only for the new song to sound more or less identical to the first.
Rated 10/10
Another long time favorite, this is a great album. I love Orton's voice here. Trailer Park and Daybreaker are also amazing.
Rated 10/10
Tis A Pity She Was A Whore is amazing; up there with the best of Bowie. Ten years on, I think this album easily stands the test of time.
Rated 4/10
The opening track with the vocals is great; quite happy to listen to eleven minutes of that. But the rest is pretty unmemorable.
Rated 10/10
I think this may actually be my favorite of the Blur albums, though it is stronger in the first half than the second. I really like Coxon's guitar here.
Rated 6/10
Pretty good, and I like the general ramshackleness of it.
Rated 6/10
I think there are some five star moments on here, like the solos on Bodhisattva and Your Gold Teeth, but overall this is a high three for me.
Rated 6/10
I generally like it but it's far too long, and suffers from not having any songs as good as Bittersweet Symphony or The Drugs Don't Work. Probably liked the instrumental "(Reprise)" best.
