Groovy and soulful. Unfortunately, this just didn’t stand out all that much to me.

There are some good songs on this, but nothing that blew me away.
Top tracks: Stand, The Wrong Child, Hairshirt

I love how Kate Bush has never shied away from being her own unique self. Very enchanting and creative album.
Top tracks: Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God), Cloudbusting, And Dream of Sheep
Rated 6/10
Not bad, but most of the songs sounded the same.
Top tracks: Melody Calls, Catch the Sun
Rated 10/10
Fcking fantastic. I wanted to scream the lyrics at the top of my lungs; I can only imagine what a Van Halen show must’ve been like in their heyday. This is pure energetic hard rock that very obviously influenced the glam metal sound that became popular in the decade that followed.
Top tracks: Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love, Jamie’s Cryin’, Feel Your Love Tonight, Ice Cream Man
Good country folk album. I’m surprised to learn they’re English; this was obviously very American inspired.

The Doors had some great songs, not all of them, but I was happy to listen to some ‘70s rock n roll.

Top tracks: Roadhouse Blues, Peace Frog, Indian Summer
I’m so glad David Byrne exists… that this band existed. While not my favorite album of theirs, I was happy to listen to it again. Punk in their own eccentric way and ahead of their time.

Top tracks: I’m Not in Love, Take Me to the River
Rated 8/10
Good album. Didn’t love every song, but there are some masterpieces in this.

Oh yeah, this was nice. Smooth and sexy relaxing tunes and voice. I need to get more into neo soul.
Top tracks: Ascension (Don’t Ever Wonder, …Til The Cops Come Knockin’, Suitelady (The Proposal Jam)
‘Do You Realize??’ is the only song I like on this album.
Rated 6/10
Not bad. Enjoyed the latter half more.
Top tracks: Alright, Time, Sofa (Of My Lethargy)

I had to replay this more than once because although I wasn’t initially impressed, I could see this growing on me. That did happen with a few songs, but only a fraction. I do love There Goes the Fear, though, because it’s in the (500) Days of Summer soundtrack, so it’s very nostalgic to me.

Top tracks: Words, There Goes the Fear, N.Y., Satellites

Give Up the Funk is a certified classic banger. The others, I didn’t care for.
Rated 9/10
Hate ‘em or love ‘em, no one was doing it like Steely Dan was, and if they were, it was a poor imitation. They were perfectionists and it’s evident in their work.
I was grooving to this album and my love for them grows with each listen. Those Michael McDonald backing vocals give me such a boost of serotonin.

Top tracks: Peg, Home At Last, I Got the News, Josie

Now this is my type of jazz. This was cheerful and fun.

Second only to Linda Ronstadt when it comes to my favorite voice. A legend in country music who deserves to be more of a household name. Emmylou’s delicate and angelic voice never fails to take my breath away. This album is full of emotion. And the tribute she wrote for Gram Parsons is nothing short of beautiful and heartfelt.
Top tracks: If I Could Only Win Your Love, Boulder to Birmingham, Sleepless Nights
Rated 2/10
This was nothing more than just a bunch of rhythmless noise and “singing”. I’d rather listen to The Shaggs than whatever the hell this was any day.
Rated 2/10
Experiencing this live must’ve been cool under the influence of certain substances, but this was just not my cup of tea. The album art is super sick though 👍.
Top track: Orgone Accumulator
Rated 8/10
Metallica is one of the few heavy metal bands I can bear to listen to. They just do it differently. Massively talented at their instruments and great lyricists.
Top tracks: Blackened, One, The Frayed Ends of Sanity
