I only recognize this artist's name, and I don't believe I know any of their songs. So this is my first time listening to the artist and to this album start-to-finish.

I kind of like the noisiness of this, and the riffs are pretty solid. I'm not sure I enjoy the vocalist's style. This might require a few more listens for me to decide whether I like it or not, but I'm also not sure I feel compelled to listen to it again. This isn't bad, but it's also hard to rate on only one listen. I'll add this to my list of albums to listen to again, but with a note that I was uncertain about it.

Could’ve trimmed some of the fat. I was ready for it to be done a few songs before it ended. That said, I did enjoy most of it. I love the raw production.

Hmmm. It definitely sounds like a band trying to ride Jack White's coattails, and yet I found myself enjoying it. Granted, I'm a White Stripes loving elder Millennial, so I might just be in the correct age range. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't hold up with younger audiences.

I love when I get something I’ve never heard of at all like this. Noisy garage rock, I’m down with that. But by the end it wore on me, a bit too much classic rock in there for me.

Rated 4/10

It was not as bad as people were claiming it to be on here, but its inclusion on the list is truly mystifying because it is not a good record, that's for sure. Messy, boring, and immemorable.

They make a good sound but they don't use it to their advantage.

Some of this album I liked but a lot of it was just noise.

Seemed pretty average?

More musically interesting than the typical hipster slag.

This band only has 1510 monthly listeners on Spotify for a reason. They do so much and achieve so little.

The comically low listener count got me thinking. My high school had about 1600 students, which means that if some kids held an assembly, playing tunes, they'd have more views than these guys. A busker on a busy street would also get more listeners. I'm sorry to bully The Icarus Line, but it's just the fact that they're on THIS LIST that really gets me. A question came over me: about how many listeners are from this website? There are 61500 active projects at the time of writing. I don't know if "active" means that the account has been used in the last week (or something like that), or if it just exists at all, but for the sake of argument I'll assume the former. The likelihood of getting any one album is about 30/1089, ignoring the days where someone famous dies. (30/1089)6150≈1694 users receiving any given album per month. Let's assume half of the site uses Spotify. That makes 847 Spotify listeners that are coming from the generator... more than half of the band's listeners. Gee golly.

Gnarly album but man WTF is that cover photo

Rated 4/10

Had to look up why this was significant. Didn't sound significant. 2/5.

Rated 4/10

dosadno i naporno, većinom nepodnošljivo. koji je ovo kurac?

Rated 2/10

Favorite track(s): they all sound the same.

Just because your production sounds like shit doesn't turn your band into The Stooges. Back to the Seven Nation Army covers, guys.

Naw dogg. The other one star reviews said it all.

Rated 6/10

It's fine, but I don't know why its on the list. Pretty standard post punk/garage rock from the era, with that wall of bass sound that was everywhere at the time.

Rated 6/10

It's the total opposite end of the popularity spectrum from yesterday. This band has thousands of monthly listeners. Big Sleep was pretty good, altogether, it is surprising to me that this album has lived in obscurity. It's too good to be so unknown. It's not the best album of all time, but it hits above its weight-class.

Let the record show that I once did sound for these guys in Manchester. My place in history is assured.
In truth, there's not much to get excited by here. It's all a bit too much.
