Milestone log 1: Day 100!

I was walking home in the dark tonight and by god. I was actually fucking feeling myself to this. Got the jig in my step and everything. 10/10 you have to listen to thriller (the song) walking in the dark.

Also, PLEASE learn to separate the art from the artist. You look so stupid.

I LOVED this, pleasantly surprised for a band I've (somehow) never heard of. Always a sucker for sampled electronica.

It took me nineteen days to rate this. Longest 1hr 15m you'll ever sit through. Luckily 50% of this album goes hard as background noise.

The engagement makes you feel like you're actually there. I can imagine it: an enigmatic man and his comrades put you in a lighthearted trance of an evening. A fun atmosphere, the beautiful instrumentation is only complemented by the passionate singing and witty remarks. This will probably never be my favourite kind of music but it sure was entertaining.

There's a reason this is called "experimental". It was never meant to reach our ears as a fully fledged album. That being said, this wasn't a horrible listen, just a boring one.

After listening to two Paul Simon albums, I was convinced that my supposed hatred for singer-songwriter style music was completely unfounded.

This broke me.

I regret being optimistic.

I think this album psychologically damaged me. Thank you for ruining my day and eardrums. My only solace whilst listening to forks scraping against plates was that someone said it sounds like hitler is screaming at you. I would joke about this giving me a headache but it genuinely did give me a nasty one.

I tried hard, but it is indeed listenable if you ignore all the words he says and how annoying he is. There are instruments in here that make noise.

This is how I'd imagine the B-52's if they discovered other emotions and let the women sing more
