It is so awesome that they just did a country album. The guitar is always so good on stones songs. This album honestly drags a bit but it gets the first 3 starts for gimme shelter alone
Rated 8/10
Some stone cold bangers on here. Will surely go down in history. Lots of different American culture performed with aplomb by some of Britain's finest
Rated 6/10
Stones går lenger enn Beatles i deres forsøk på å «get back».
«Gimme Shelter» og «You Can’t Always Get What You Want» løfter plata opp, og det trenger den egentlig. «Live With Me» funket faktisk bedre live i Shine A Light-filmen med Christina Aguilera som gjest.

Rated 6/10
Starts well and ends well. The middle hmmm a bit blah
Rated 4/10
My body is a machine that turns Rolling Stones albums into 2-star ratings.
While I wouldn't say that it's meritless to listen several albums by one of the most influential bands of all time, the generator has shown me that I straight up do not like them. I will always respect their unintentional consistency in putting out one godly song per album though; the closer on this one is a genuinely incredible song that does not sound like *anything* that comes before it.
Standouts: Gimme Shelter (the twisty percussion part) • You Can't Always Get What You Want
Rated 8/10
Rated 10/10
What an epic track to start off the album. Fantastic record. I’ve been meaning to listen to all of The Rolling Stone’s discography. They’ve created so many masterpieces, it’s easy to see why they’re considered amongst the greatest.
Rated 8/10
That album is so fantastically bookended with Gimme Shelter and You Can't Always Get What You Want. Fantastic rock album.
Rated 8/10
True rock and roll. Great album cover.
Rated 10/10
My Fifth Stones album and the first one to get the full five stars.
This was a brilliant album. Where the others I’ve had have taken time to get into, this had me hooked from start to finish.
Top Track - Gimmie Shelter
Rated 6/10
Never got into this. You Can't Always Get What You Want is a great song, but other than that, nothing was that good. Still solid album overall, because The Rolling Stones are a good band. Can't ever be too bad.
Rated 10/10
five stars for gimme shelter and ycagwyw alone
Rated 6/10
A couple certified bangers but not my favorite as an album
Rated 8/10
there are some weak tracks, but the stones are legit
Rated 4/10
I'm wondering The Rolling Stones get so many comparisons to The Beatles. As someone who knows the latter but not the former, I expected something at least similar in sound to an early Beatles record. No, what I got was blues rock and typical early country. I am unfortunately not a fan.
It's not just that my expectations weren't met, it's also that I am not a fan of this genre in the first place. I don't like the styling of the songs, I don't like Mick Jagger's voice...it's not necessarily anything reprehensible, and I understand its inclusion on the list, but this is just so totally not my thing. Sorry y'all.

3.5/5. Raising to 4.

There's a point in the bridge of "Gimmie Shelter" where Merry Clayton is absolutely cooking and her voice cracks and you hear Mick let out a "whoo" in the background like you know he's just locked in to the intensity. One of the great moments in rock history... Seriously, listen to it isolated (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChONufP0FEs).
The rest is still high quality, but doesnt meet that absolute high, and I say this with the timeless "You Can't Always Get What You Want" being on this album too.
