652/1101 - That sounds about right for Glam Punk
Rated 6/10
651/1101 - Some alright synthpop. Liked the title track and the big hit the best.
Rated 8/10
650/1089 - For what this is (Hair Metal?), it does a pretty good job. I liked "Livin' on a Prayer" the best because it has unique instrumentation with the talkbox and slightly dissonant string synth. The other hits are fun and vibrant as well.

649/1089 - And people say Steely Dan was a bad band to work with. It's fine overall; some alright country rock.

648/1102 - Great voice and instrumental ear candy throughout. First song seemed a bit too long and the Alvin and the Chipmunks appearance at the end of PYT was strange but the songwriting and overall vocal fills makes up for it I think. I think it's cool that they don't lower his breaths in the mix, he's THAT in the pocket that they don't need to! Nice way for Toto to sort of be on the list too.

647/1101 - Really dynamic and great textures. Seriously amazing instrumentation throughout. Really creative blend of classical instruments with rock and jazz staples.
646/1101 - More of 77. A bit cleaner maybe but also a lot of filler. Still have no idea why these guys are considered the best New Wave-rs when XTC and The Police exist.
Rated 4/10
645/1089 - I only liked the first song. Blues makes me snooze.
644/1101 - It's alright.
Rated 8/10
643/1101? (There's a new edition now!) - Paper Tiger through Lost Cause is incredible with Lonesome Tears being a highlight. I realize this is a concept album but I think the songs being a similar subject matter and tempo cause them to blend together in an unoptimal way. I might like it better if there was slightly different tempo/drums or maybe even a different track listing.
My ordering of Beck albums I've heard so far is:
Odelay>Mutations>Modern Guilt>Midnite Vultures>Guero>Sea Change>Stereopathetic Soulmanure>Ride Lonesome>Mellow Gold. I still have a lot more Beck to explore!
On another note, I saw Beck live recently and it was fun to hear a song and be like "oh neat! I heard this live." Great performer, great songs.

642/1089 - This swings hard. I like the annecdote about Michael Jackson telling Nas to not curse on the last song and he knocks it out of the park.
Rated 2/10
641/1089 - zZz... zZz... this one makes an hour feel like a day
Rated 8/10
640/1089 - I generally don't like the Who but this is good because the songs are shorter.
Rated 6/10
639/1089 - Sheik was kinda cool. Most was pretty forgettable. I recognized LA Grange but I don't want to listen to the same riff for an entire song unless the riff is super dynamic and varied.
Rated 4/10
638/1089 - I hate "vibey" "jammy" music. Please get to the point and quit whacking off on stage please.
Rated 4/10
637/1089 - Somewhat went in one ear and out the other but I also didn't like the beats and flow if I remember correctly.
Rated 10/10
636/1089 - I really liked the title track. It's bluesy with a good pianist, guitarist, drummer and an expressive vocalist. Dips a bit in quality in the middle but finishes nice. Very creative country music.
Rated 8/10
635/1089 - Didn't realize Water Baby by Tom Misch was a sample! Cool pop jazz.
Rated 10/10
634/1089 - Sounds a bit like Hiatus Kaiyote which I like, I wonder if she was an influence on them. Very eclectic and well done. The robot/voice effect works most of the time when it's implemented and the arrangements are both surprising and well executed. Lots of traces of past artists in this from Simon and Garfunkel to Outkast to Bowie to Debussy.
